a spacious, clean room on two levels was my first home in the wonderful area of salento during a week. i have enjoyed staying here, feeling so comfortable and homely. attractions are reachable by walk, the location is silent for a good sleep!  thank you sole! will see definately come here again, on my next trip to lecce!

a great place to stay in a wonderful area: SALENTO

I visit Italy 4-5 times every year, so I have extensive experience with hostels in this price range. This place is the worst BY FAR. I stayed in the quadruple room in the ground floor. The bath in that room is a joke. The shower cubicle is literally 1m by 1m, which means that you can hardly move once you get in. Taking a shower in that cubicle is extremely difficult and I'm only a medium-sized person. I'm attaching a picture of the shower cubicle so you can see for yourself. Also, every time you use the washbasin or the toilet you'll hear a very loud sound from a motor that pumps the water. 
Next problem is that the room has no soundproofing at all. This means that you will hear EVERYTHING that happens on the street in front of your room, very, very loudly: cars, motorcycles, dogs, people talking... you'll hear everything as if you were on the street. ZERO soundproofing. 
Finally, one thing that happened the day I checked out. The older of the 2 ladies who run this place, Ms Katerina, is also a taxi driver, and she offered to drive me to the bus station to take the bus ton the Brindisi airport. This was a 5 minute drive. She didn't use a taximeter as she is obliged by law, but instead of that she arbitrarily demanded 15 EURO for that 5 minute drive! I was stupid enough to use her service, when I could have taken any other taxi and pay half that amount.

My advice is to avoid this place.

This place is a rip-off

No one there to receive us at arriving. Had to wait for more than 30 minutes, after calling them on the phone, under a hot sun, at 3pm. The lady that opened the door doesnt speak english, spanish, french, portuguese or german, but only a local italian, impossible to understand. She doesnt like to repeat instructions;. She asked us not to touch the things she had already cleaned during the morning, and didn&#039;t want to give us a cap of coffee as she was supposed to. She asked us to leave the room early in the morning (the site indicates a &quot;late check-out&quot;!?). They say you can have &quot;breakfast&quot;. Only the cup of coffee, italian coffee, is acceptable. The rest is fake fruit juice, and ONE disgusting industrial cake/
