Its a good youth hostel

Good food, fresh remarkable lunch and dinner buffet, clean room,clean bathroom, nice shower head,  safe environment, friendly and helpful staff, quiet, convenient to places to see, would love to go there again, 

Just excellent

The staff were very pleasent and nice.
We had a ground floor double room, viewing to the pool and Kineret lake. 
The room had modern design and all the utilities are available and working well. A big shower that had very hot water constantly with amazing pressure. 
Had plenty of food selection at breakfast and dinner. Any diet is answered there.

Had a great time staying here

Stayed here for 3 nights. The guests’ elevators need to be upgraded. Rather outdated. Can’t say the bed is rather comfortable nor I can say the pillows are cosy. Just average. I guess because when we were there, it was during the peak season & I think the hotel is short of staff, our room was not properly cleaned the following day. They forgot to leave clean towels & replenished drinking bottle waters. The cleaner even left a bottle of cleaning liquid in the bathroom. The room is quite spacious but bear in mind, during winter, there’s no aircon so it can be very stuffy in the room. The only option was to open the patio’s door. However, we were given a room facing the Sea of Galilee & the scenery of sunrise is breathtaking. The breakfast spread is good so is the dinner spread. 

Some improvements needed 

We are in a tour group and we were assigned a room number. The handwritten room number read 277. (Check the picture I posted). We went up one of the elevators and found out that the rooms went up to only 215. Asked the bell boy where room 277 was, and they said it was at the other wing. So we hauled our luggages again to the other wing. When we got there, we went all the way around the long hall way with our luggages, only to find out that the rooms were up to 275 only. Tired from hauling our luggages around, I left my wife with the luggages there and went back to the lobby and asked the receptionist where room 277 was. He said that the written number was 211. I swear, no one would EVER read what he wrote as 211. The 1 was clearly written as a 7. 

We asked if we could just be transferred to the new wing so we don’t have to haul our luggages down again. In a very condescending tone, the receptionist flatly said that he cannot transfer us for no good reason. Then he ORDERED me to go outside and call one of the bellboys to go and help us with our luggages. Nice service huh? The receptionist was very rude and condescending. Such a bad hotel with worse customer service.

Terrible Room Numbering and Rude Receptionist

We stayed in the lake house for the first two nights of our Israel trip, but won’t be returning again. 

The positives:- 

+ The hotel it’s self, while dated in areas is not bad. The lobby is quite nice and the rooms are basic but clean. The cleaning lady was particularly helpful with extra towels etc. 

The Negatives:- 

- The communal areas are grubby and need a good clean, the pool furniture in particular. 

- The staff are generally unprofessional and not willing to help. We went for lunch one day and the lady couldn’t find us on the list so she essentially said you’re not on the list, you can’t eat here. In a normal hotel they would of course check with reception and find out there is a mistake and it would be sorted. I had to speak to the restaurant manager who in fairness did resolve the issue. When I asked for the manager the member of staff thought it appropriate to laugh - most unprofessional. 

I ordered a drink at the bar and the lady was just say there on her phone which doesn’t give a good impression. 

- The food is ok ish - there is lots of choice but the dining room is chaotic and while this isn’t the hotels fault there were children running riot everywhere and lots of people screaming and shouting which didn’t make for a fun dining experience. 

- The Hotel was busy and they ran out of towels, the cleaning lady did make good on her promise and bring extra when they were available. She also made sure we had what we needed but a hotel shouldn’t run out of towels! 

We were happy to be leaving and on to our next hotel which fortunately turned out to be great! 



Not a good start...

On a pilgrimage with a group we were placed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was just terrible. The GM told me he was new and hotel had just changed hands. No excuse for lack of basic necessities in room such as tissues. Elevators were unreliable with wrong floor numbers. Cafeteria was an overcrowded food fight every meal and it was challenging to find something good to eat. Staff was scarce and little English. Don’t spoil your trip by booking here. 

Awful. Stay somewhere else. 

This is our 2nd hotel during our 2-week pilgrimage after arriving from Jordan. An exact opposite of the hotel we stayed in Amman with pretty, nice rooms but short on the food menu and other hotel amenities. This one got breathtaking views on the shores of Sea of Galilee, and the buffet seems eternal with lots of options. Just never mind the bedrooms (we stayed on de luxe with balcony overlooking the pool opening up to the sea) but looks crampy inside. The elevators also need maintenance service.

I’ve seen worse but not like this place 
And it’s even after discussion with the management 
We showed him several times how dirty the room because they changed us the first room 
And after 4 hours they came to clean the room
It’s embarrassing and disrespectful 

Horrible 

Arrived at hotel to an issue with reservation. That was just the beginning. Roaches and crickets in room. Towels were terrible. Rooms were not clean And bathroom was dirty. The restaurant chairs and place mats were dirty. There was a party outside every night that lasted past midnight and the music was so loud it made sleeping impossible.
