My father reserved this for our family and it turned out to be wonderful! 
Contrary to the other reviews, we had no issue with music- just the typical street noise which we found exotic and charming since this is our first time here in Ireland.  Also, we always travel with a noise machine and earplugs while traveling. 

Glad to have a washer, we just had to get creative with hanging our clothes to dry inside. 
Beds were nice and the kitchen was well furnished. 

The flat was a couple of stories up which was a bit taxing for my mother. 
Fabulous location across from some cafes, a market street, and we were able to walk to all the museums and restaurants. Never had to get a taxi or cab! Would definitely recommend and would stay again. 

We stayed here tonight in apt 5 and have to say that Vania has been so helpful! 

We arrived earlier than the stated check in time and she allowed us to leave our bags at the room from 11am. Also as there wasn't guests arriving till late the next day we managed to extend our check out till 1pm which has been super helpful to us. 

The apartment itself has two bedrooms a nice sitting area and is on the top floor. It has a full kitchen and bathroom also. We literally used it just to sleep in as we were working all day. 

It's a short walk to the city centre and Temple Bar. It is above The Clock pub, we didn't have any issues with noise from the pub at all and would revisit here. 

Not plush by any means but definitely well kept, clean and very suitable for a city break.

Great flat & location!

Overall very good 

First thing's first, Crompton Hall is NOT a hotel. We knew that going in so we were good. This is a building of about 4 apartments set over the The Clock Pub. When you arrive at the Dublin airport chances are your taxi or uber driver will not know where this is. Just have them drop you at The Clock Pub, then there is a small sign over the door to the right of the main pub entrance that says Crompton Hall. We had a hard time finding it as the sign is just over the door and there is no other way to tell where this place is if you are just driving down the street. Look up a photo of the Clock Pub so you know what I am talking about. We arrived and luckily the pub let us store our luggage there because checkin is strict. The owner drops off the keys with the pub at a certain time and pretty much all your interaction will be with the pub managers. There is a phone number to call for help but you are pretty much just air bnbing this place. There are no maids and no one on site to answer questions about the apartments themselves. They have a guide on how things work in the apartment but sometimes it wasn't very helpful. The music is SUPER loud on the weekends, that is not an over exaggeration, the pub went till about 3 or 4 in the morning. People are also yelling on the side walk and streets and you WILL hear it all. If you stay here you NEED ear plugs or you will not sleep. The reason we stayed here is because it was cheaper than other places and we were right down the street from the Guinness factory, we also could walk pretty much anywhere in Dublin from here. This place is super Ideal for younger folks who like the fact that you can get drunk and stay up all night at the pub then just walk a few paces to the Crompton Hall entrance and crash out. If you are looking for a nice restful, peace and quiet place, THIS IS NOT IT! Look somewhere else. The apartment was a tad old and dingy but it was clean. The shower was SUPER small. When I say that I mean the shower entrance too. It's oddly diagonal it's one like I've never seen. Since we had earplugs we weren't too unhappy with the place. It was alright, not great or the best or even good but for the price and location of the bar, not bad if you are into loud music and drunk people. Tip: If you are looking for the towels and extra blankets they are most likely stored where the Bed couch is. So look there first.

Check-in was quite disappointing- we were tired and hungry and all I had been told was to 'go to the pub and they will give you keys'. The pub was very busy and I didn't have the 'code word' to assure the bar staff that I was legit. I received the instructions on the code word etc in an email the next day. The pub people were very helpful as was the cleaner. 

The unit itself was very basic and while clean it was pretty grungy and could have had the carpet, broken blinds and curtains replaced, windows cleaned and a bit of new vinyl in the kitchen. The windows in the lounge couldn't be opened although someone had tried prior to our arrival. I knew this as a breadboard and book had been leveraged under one of the windows. 
The linen was clean. 
The unit did smell a bit of smoke - initially I thought that it was from the pub smokers standing out under the 'open' window downstairs but soon spotted a stash of ciggies butts on the ledge of the window that had the slashed sash rope. 
The TV Didn't have any reception and I had no reply to my repeated phone calls for any info on how I could get it to work. Sadly, no TV for me. 
The hotwater wasn't available 'after hours' - late in the day or middle of the day. 
The toilet seat was of the careering variety 
People in the local pubs had a great night on our first night (Sunday), partying into the small hours - not that it worried us too much - we like to party too! A lot of door banging went on. Monday night was quieter. Again we didn't worry but good to know if you are sensitive to noise. 
The unit was 'ok' but better to know what you are coming to. It's a shame really as it wouldn't take much to whoop the place up a bit (particularly the carpet, blinds etc) and make you feel like you were getting value for your money 

Looks can be deceiving 

The fact you have very loud music constantly at weekends and wasn't told what time it would finish yes it is over a pub but other places in Dublin have that and still you can sleep and the heating and hot water wasn't working the attitude of the staff was shocking I tried to ring about the hot water and got no answer the was told how to put it on which I knew, then the next afternoon after getting 3 hours sleep due to music and customers the manager sent maintenance to me later afternoon got it on but when I came back to the room the heating was STILL ON and wouldn't turn off
