Our 2 night stay here was perfect. The rooms are clean and well furnished, parking was easy and we were able to enjoy a few pints in their pub. Located just one block from Main Street meant no night noise and a 2 minute walk to the pubs and shops, or a 5 minute walk to the water. Our host, Adrian was cheerful and helpful! The pub opened the second night we were there and we enjoyed conversations with the bartender and other travelers. They do not serve breakfast but we found several options along Strand Street. And Nellie, the resident cat, is super friendly and will sit in your lap if you let her :) We look forward to returning here again as soon as possible!

Staying here again next time!

We decided to go to Nellie Freds for a pint. On arrival we were told by a very nice young lady from Co. Clare that it was necessary to sit outside. It was a cool evening so seeing as we are local & vaccinated it was agreed we could sit inside. There was a change of shift and another young lady was inside the bar when I approached to order a drink. She was playing some game on her mobile phone. When she finally did decide to serve our 2nd pint it was under duress and we both felt the same.. Thou shall not disturb this girl, shes being paid to play with her phone. Certainly not the cead mile failte we expect in our town!! Its been a challenging year for business people and to have someone inside the bar who hasnt the courtesy to look up at you not to mention smile makes me wonder how visitors to our town will feel. A smile doesnt cost anything and working inside a bar is the least a customer expects not to mention a drink. Be nice, its much easier. Ice maiden was cold and not in any way welcoming or friendly. We are not looking to be best buddies , just do your job, the phone will be there, the customer may not. 

Is a pint too much to ask for

Absolutely brilliant stay,, the room was spotless and comfortable, Adrian the owner couldn’t do a enough a lovely lovely friendly man, i would highly recommend and would definitely return location was absolutely spot on as well, thanks for everything we had a really enjoyable trip

Brilliant

I stayed here at the beginning of July with my brother and his partner as we were doing the wild Atlantic way. We stayed for 2 nights and the crack was incredible. The apartment was absolutely fabulous and the customer service from the owner was 110%. We enjoyed every minute here. I can not praise this place enough. Thanks for hospitality. -Stacey

A great place to stay !

We stayed here in September. We stayed in the apartment, we had a baby with us, i spoke with the owner before hand and told him we had a new born baby with us. He put a microwave in the apartment for us. They are top people and the accomodation was excellent as was the cheese board in the pub itself. Cheers Adrian

Great spot

We stayed for 3 nights and we loved this place. It was very close to the centre with great facilities around. The room was very clean and plenty of space in the triple room. Adrian couldn't have been more helpful and had time for everyone, incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even with all the new regulations around covid we had a thoroughly pleasant experience. I highly recommend Nellie Fred's.

Amazing stay

Good location in the city center, 5 minutes to the Harbour, ear from all the night life, secured parking, good pub on the ground with a pool, nice accommodation, very friendly staff. Big up to Riona 👍

Perfect place

We stayed in the 4-bed room in the front of the 2nd floor (the dormers facing the street, those were our windows).  The room was clean and comfortable, but a touch cramped for four people.  Not a lot of extra room to move around in.

The staff was friendly and helpful.  We especially enjoyed meeting Nellie, the house cat.  Apparently well known in town, when we mentioned at a local restaurant that we were staying at Nellie Fred's, their first question was, "Have you met Nellie?"

Located a bit outside the main tourist drag, it was still close enough to walk to.  Lidl grocery store just kitty-corner across the street for provisions if you need them.

Despite our room being directly over the pub stage, the noise wasn't too bad.  You could definitely hear the music, but it was good music and it never lasted past 11:30 or so.

The had wi-fi, but connection was spotty at the front of the building.  I think the router was in back, and the other rooms likely had a better signal.

Small, cramped parking in back, but at least it was off-street.

Would definitely stay here again.

Quaint and Enjoyable

Fab time. Adrian is great; so helpful. We stayed in the apartment for 2 nights and loved it. So central and we enjoyed every minute. Would recommend to anybody.
The pub at the front is lovely, and a car park around the back. 

2 nights stay

Myroomwas clean and cosy and I couldn't ask for anything better . Adrian couldnt have been more helpful and nice . No better place to enjoy a TASTY PINT ! such a cosy little room inside. the owner always has time for a chat. 10/10 BEST PLACE TO DRINK/STAY IN DINGLE
