Stayed overnight before returning on ferry out of Dublin. Excellent location - 45mins direct to ferry port we wandered back along the coast for an afternoon sailing and avoided the hectic Dublin motorway.

Very friendly welcome and throughout the stay - almost like family but not intrusive. Clean, comfortable, spacious room and excellent shower. Good TV and reception. Great breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay again.

(Note for us English in continental fashion there is no kettle in the room but coffee is served on arrival)

I stayed here for one night while attending a function in Dunleer. It is well located, just a couple of minutes walk to the town centre.

It is a small B&B, I think only two rooms but it was really well maintained, room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom, also a really comfy bed which led to a great night’s sleep.

Great breakfast in the morning, a full Irish and also cereals, juices and coffee/tea. Great host, she really looked after me during my stay. 

This is the second time I stayed here and definitely will be back

We cannot thank Bernie and Hugh enough for their warm and friendly hospitality,  This is our second stay with them and it certainly will not be our last.
The rooms are beautiful and clean and the breakfast was lovely and plentiful. 
On both stays we had other family members with us and Bernie did everything to accommodate us and our new granddaughter. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like family. Thank you again Bernie and we can't wait for for our next trip to your lovely home. 
I highly recommend St Jude's to anyone visiting Ireland.

We stayed a night here while attending a wedding in Castlebellinham. Very pretty garden with a little river running through it. Very clean and comfortable room. Ten minutes by car from the Castle and convenient to Dunleer village. We were made to feel welcome. I would recommend St Jude’s to anyone visting the area or as a cheaper option to the Dundalk hotels.

Stayed just one night.
Bernie was very friendly and helpful advising on local eateries etc.
Good sized car park.
Good sized double aspect bedroom with stream running past our window.
Very clean.
Good breakfast to set you up for the day.
The one negative was no tea / coffee facility in the room.

This is a most easy to find B & B in Dunleer ... we stopped here on the way to the ferry and were warmly welcomed.
Bernie made us a lovely fresh pot of tea accompanied by fresh cream Swiss roll. 
Breakfast was lovely and bed was comfortable ... a very peaceful location.

Peaceful stopover

Stayed here on At. Patrick's night and was amazed to find no coffee/tea making facilities in bedroom. We were cold and wet and weren't even offered a hot drink. No hair dryer in bedroom either.Bedroom comfortable enough.

The host is uneducated, giving poor responses to guests. I went on behalf of a company, and stayed the weekend, I was informed that the company would pay for all accommodation including the weekend.In the middle of the weekend, she charges me two daily, I called my boss and he said to pay then, and get the receipt. She rolled it up to give the receipt and even gave a handwritten receipt, in a Torn notebook sheet, only written I received 120 euros. When I asked her to describe on the receipt the details I was paying, she appealed, shouted, knocked on the table and left and slammed the door on me my face. The next day it took almost 20 min to serve the coffee, and not even a good morning. Every hour she says something, she has no word to support what she says. When it was time to leave, she knocked on the door half an hour before the daily end. Even though I informed her that I was just finishing pack the suitcase, she stood at the bedroom door watching me pack the suitcase. Until I leave the room. I've never been there. There is no other accommodation in the city, so it acts the way it wants to. Very rude, she doesn't know how to deal with the public. Not to mention that when I arrived, the company told her that I would arrive on the last bus. I arrived at 1 am, and I was in the rain and cold almost a hour knocking on the door outside. I don't want anyone to go through this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ACCOMMODATION. I hope someone opens another one in the city to have an option. Another thing, the discharge does not it worked, the bathroom curtain fell all the time, and if someone was taking a shower, the shower wouldn't turn on. I had to wait for everyone in the house to take a shower. The breakfast was just egg and bacon. There was no other option. It was just that or I didn't eat anything. My husband was not a vegetarian, he had to pay for breakfast, which she did not give a discount, and he only drank orange juice. Bad accommodation.I'm sorry that she is the only option in town. Anyone who can stay in the neighboring cities I advise.
