Visited this restaurant with my husband & his family 
Fantastic restaurant served as buffet style all food was outstanding & great service provided 
Very clean & thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Dawa would highly recommend a visit to anyone 

I went there with my family two times at night for a dinner, they have an open buffet and also you can choose from a menu, we choose from a menu a kebab, tekah and a fried chicken (fajitas )they serve it with a nice presentation , also they serve a free of charge very delicious salad and also a very delicious Turkish style bread 

Good taste nice place nice location away from center of sulemany it was very good food affordable prices  near to the rest the garden vey beautiful and well organized and a lot of items in the menu well cooked nice juicy nice service and very good friendly staffs 

We had a wonderful experience at Dawa.
It is a restaurant in a hotel in Sulaymaniah of Iraq.
The restaurant is large. We had a set menu. Food came in many successive courses. Different starters followed by more main courses.
A soft drink made of cherries was served.
The food quality was outstanding.
Service was great.
Ambience was wonderful.
We had the desert outdoors at their large garden.

This is a review of the restaurant which is just excellent, especially if you like grilled meat. It is quite an experience as well. You are seated and then waiters serve all sorts of appetizers including salads, grilled vegetables and different meats. Everyone is usually full by the time the appetizers are served, but then the main course arrives, which is a grill with different types of meat and chicken. Dessert is also nice and they serve Kurdish tea at the end of the meal all for a very reasonable price. Great food, atmosphere and value for money.


I can boldly say that no hotel in Sulaymaniyah has the atmosphere of Dawa Hotel. The rooms on the garden side have a special peace. The rooms on the city side also have a beautiful view of the city. The rooms are large and have good facilities. Apparently, the hotel has been recently renovated.  The room on the garden side has a large balcony. The breakfast of the hotel is also suitable and varied. Another point is the distance of the hotel from the city center, which makes the environment calm.One of the problems of the hotel is the lack of advertising, which causes lack of recognition.

If you are looking for peace, it is the right choice

Very relaxing restaurant 

Dawa restaurant is nice place and quite but the foods ok but not perfect 
And a lot of foods on starter even you can get full on starter without main dish 
And very friendly staff 
Unfortunately they allowed people smoking sisha inside the restaurant this is not normal!!

Note: this is about the 5 star hotel. The 4 star is across the street.
Positives... the location and incredibly spacious rooms and bathrooms.
Less than great: everything else. The light coloured curtains let all the light in ALL NIGHT - the balconies have huge spotlights you cannot turn off, it is appalling. Despite the springs poking out of the mattress I slept comfortably. 
It is a "5" star hotel but you only get one towel (thin and reeking of bleach). We asked for one more but were refused. The reception staff are incredibly rude, not getting off their phones when we were trying to talk to them. Don't bother with the cafe. We got drinks there every day (there's nothing else in the area). The coffees were fine, but the fresh fruit juice - it was literally two cm of juice in the bottom of the tall glass and ice cubes. 
The breakfast buffet was nice enough, with fresh and dried fruit but it is strange that a so-called 5 star hotel just has a thermos of hot water, Nescafe and little paper cups.
