Hotel Wisma Bahtera

Stayed here in mid April 2014. It was located at the center of the town, close to Train Station and other attractions. Very convenient. Standard room rate @ IDR185K/night with simple breakfast was very affordable. Room was clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful, they were knowledgeable about the attractions in the town, how to get there, how long the time taken and what to see. All in all, I was satisfied. Fully recommended, especially for budget traveler.

Nice hotel to stay...near railstation located at central city clean enough...good place with affordable price...recomended place to stay...not difficult to find anykind of food...traditional n international food is a walking distance to find

Fully Recommended Budget Hotel

Comfort

At the first glance, this place seemed to be a disappointing place; small and at an unknown street. We planned to have one-night stay here. We took the standard room, which costs 195k/night (bathroom+bedroom+breakfast)

The bedroom facilities provided there were a bedroom with a TV, an AC, Wifi connections. The bed is comfortable for two person, and there is a small end table and a (bigger!) chair. The TV channels might be (quite) limited, but entertaining enough, considering the price. The air conditioner worked properly. However, the wifi connections were unreachable except if you're outside of your room; this is troubling for me at times.

The bathroom has two towels; a set of dental kit; shower; and liquid soap and shampoo, ready to be used. Overall, the bathroom was alright, except the shower; it didn't work properly and well. This probably indicates lack of maintenance in this part.

The breakfast provided for us was rice with omelette and veggies. Dandy, tasty, well-cooked, though nothing exceptional. At least, I have no concern for this one, considering the service of the staff was good.

Overall, this place's outlook may be terrible, but it's not as bad as it is. Good for a budget stay, but they need to do better in maintenance and tackle that wifi issue. There could be several improvements that can be done, though I feel the price was still worth the experience in the room.
