I have visited this month between 18.02.24- 22.02.24, the room I stayed in was filthy, with stained bed sheets and dirty linens. It was evident that the housekeeping staff had not properly cleaned before my arrival. Its still managed by us but the worst part is the MANAGER (Day time) was horrible in nature and dont know how to talk with customer. Firstly i booked 6 room 2 Classic and 4 Deluxe room which was interchanged and confirm me over phone no extra charges will be billed and i have acknowledged message also with me which was later refuse by the manager to accept after having proper evidence. He started shouting like a dog in front of my family and asked us to left the hotel at the time of check in. Giving us threat with offensive languages that they will not allow us to leave the hotel. I started calling 112 (police helpline number) but unfortunately it was not picked at that time and my family members started to make the manager understand with proper document. The place of the hotel is good but room, behavior of staff is horrible.  Beneras is place of GOD but this type of people will spoil the motive of a person/family if you visit this kind of hotel in Varanasi. I am deeply in shock with the behavior of a manager like this i have no clue in past.

Horrible Manager

We got a room opposite to kitchen. Full of noises & yelling from morning till late in the night. Attached restaurant is OK. People are friendly & courteous. Room is OK. Door mats near bath room is dangerously dirty. Bath room was big but doesn't look good. No geyser. Limited time hot water during day. Not worth the money. Excellent location for Kashi Vishwanath Mandir Gate 4 entrance & Ghats. Transport not allowed into the road. Hotel staff has to be called to pickup luggage from Nandi Chowk. Go for hotel Alka instead. Hotel cannot be easily identified as it is in between cloth shops. Luckily, lift is available.

Stay here only for Location. Not a great place. Not worth the price.

This hotel is situated near Godowlia Crossing of Varanasi & on the Dasashwamedh ghat road. Entrance is in between some clothing shop. We are staying at Lara suite room, their best room. The room is very big. Two big windows are road facing. You can sit on a chair near window & your time will pass automatically looking outside road & market market activities. Hotel is really nice. Staff & Manager behavior & service are superb. They daily wash room & bathroom. Only hotel restaurant foods are not up to the mark in my opinion. They should improve in this field, otherwise the hotel is very good for staying.

One of the nice hotel in Varanasi

There is one TripClues Travel agent who booked our hotel Lara about four months back. We were all senior Citizens and there was Five Couples of same age of friends. Through Bank Transfer , we booked Lara Hotel Five Deluxe Rooms. An advance was Paid for Rs.10000/- to TRip Clues and they sent Confirmed reservation of Five Deluxe rooms on and from 25/11/2022 for three days.
Just two days prior to our visit on 25/11/2022, person acting as a representative of Lara Hotel phoned me and said, Lara Hotel will not be able to provide rooms as those rooms are already occupied. We the Sr citizens were surprised as to, last moment they are saying that the rooms will not be available although the rooms were booked in July'22 for 25 Nov'22. We had to take lot of troubles to find a suitable hotel in Varanasi. However, when asked for refund of Rs.10000/. They said by next day I will receive the refund.
Reaching Varanasi, I contacted the travel agent over phone M/S TripClues Pvt Ltd, they said Refund is being processed and I shall get the refund by next day. We have returned back from Varanasi spending four days in another hotel, the refund has not yet come. Till today being 2/12/22 the refund has not come and now we felt they collected Rs.10000/- in a fraudulent manner. I have called at least 100 times to the representative of tripclues, every time they were not picking up the calls. Once or twice they picked up the call , and said my refund will be released today. That today has never come.
My suggestion to the prospective travellers to Varanasi , please do not fall prey in any trap of Lara Hotel. I came to know this way Lara Hotel is earning money in fraudulent manner by appointing one fraud Travel Agent TripClue Private Limited

Highly Dissatisfied. They have given franchisees for booking on their behalf, Money  collected on behalf of Lara Hotel

We booked directly 3 Super Deluxe Classis rooms from their website. Check-in was smooth as was provided rooms within 30min. There are some rooms with twin beds, book and confirm with them otherwise they can allocate the twin bed rooms. Provided with 1L bottle every day. Rooms were clean but very small compared the room category. Very less space left after the furniture and the luggage. Lift was working fine. AC was working but leaking in some rooms. Washroom was clean but have drainage problem. Provided with basic tea and toilet kits.. Free Wifi is available in common space. Room service was good. Overall the rooms need maintenance to be at par with the cost. The best part of the hotel is the location. If someone wants to stay near the busy Godowliya market then it is a good place. Restaurant food was not that good with the price they are charging. Better to eat in Kesari restaurant just opposite to it. Overall a okiesh kind of stay. Renovation needed for the rooms. For the time being can be avoided.

Good Location poor rooms

This is our third visit to the hotel. Location is wonderful. Homely behaviour of the staff. Noiseless rooms and very close to Vishwanath Temple and Añnapurna Temple. Situated in Godowlia very close to Dashaswamedh Ghat

A nice hotel near Dashashwamedh Ghat

Once a year we make a family visit to Varanasi, each one of us with different agenda. Ladies go for pilgrimage & shopping. I enjoy Samosa, Jalebi, Lassi & Rabri near Vishwnath Dwar on Dashwasmed Road. I also enjoy wide range of Vegetarian delight of Kesri Ruchikar Byanjan Restaurant on Dashwasmed Road. Sometimes I join the family upto Vishwanath Temple too. As we all know walking is the most reliable mode of transport in Varanasi (because of lowest per capita road space) - Hotel La-Ra India on Godowlia Chowk suits us best for doing all these activities on foot. Even boating from Dashwasmed Ghat is also walking 400m distance from the hotel. Varanasi never sleeps. At any hour of the day we can go out or walk in to Hotel La-Ra India after rudrabhishek or shopping, or boating or lunch / dinner. Thus I consider Hotel La-Ra India as my second home in Varanasi and Manager Mr. Sharma (more popularly Sharmaji) is our local guardian. He knows Varanasi like his palm and a very helpful person by nature. For any guidance we always consult him & found him to be most accurate so far. Even for finding the best time to visit Varanasi we consult him & then plan. In fact Hotel La-Ra India & Sharmaji are integral part of our second home in varanasi. Anybody anxious about sleep quality on Dashwasmed Road must carry earplug. Religious activity goes on round the clock in this area.

Hotel La-Ra India is my second home in varanasi

I have visited Hotel Lara India in the month of October 2013 at stayed there from October 17th to October 24th. Its a bit late to post my review at tripadvisor. But I think I should share my experience. The hotel is centrally located at Godowalia Crossing and Viswanath Mandir is only 2-3 minutes by walk. Before going there I have heard that it is difficult to reach there by auto. But it is not at all a problem. Due to to traffic restriction auto goes up to Benyabag and then one have to take rickshaw to go to Godowalia. We have stayed in a A.C room so can't tell about non A.C room but A.C rooms are clean, not very specious but moderate. The Hotel staffs are helpful, attentive, and for my young toddler even they manage to get boiled water for drinking. Bathrooms are clean with hot and cold water. The rooms have power backup in case of power failure. It has Aroma restaurant which is fully vegetarian. Though it is costly but if one can afford then the foods are good, tasty and the restaurant is extremely clean. Here also the staffs are very polite and cooperative. So overall it is very good place to stay at Varanasi for family tour.

Good Hotel At Central Place

Stayed here for four nights during Oct.14 to Oct. 18. We booked three rooms online, Deluxe, Super Deluxe and a Suite. Immediately after entering the hotel we had a bitter experience. The three-bedded Super Deluxe room was a two-bedded one and later they arranged a very ordinary camp bed to cope for the third one. Even we came to know that the hot water in the bathroom was not for 24 hours but only in the morning from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. The manager at the reception, Mr. Sharma was very uncivilized in his behaviour. He even dared to say that he did not care if we write negative reviews about the hotel. Such attitude is very unprofessional as every customer should be important for the hotel staff. After the initial hiccup we stayed comfortably. Worth mentioning is the name of the floor in-charge Mr Singh who was very helpful and friendly. He even found out the lost wallet from the Deluxe room rendering utmort effort. The hotel rooms are small and with scopes of improvement everywhere. The hotel boys are smiling and helpful. The major pros is the location which is on the Dashashwamedh road at a stone's throw from Vishwanath temple and ghats.

Sour and Sweet

The Hotel is located just near the Godwalia Chowk, a stone throw distance from the Kashi Viswanath temple and Dasaswamedh Ghat, the two main attractions of Kashi. The hotel rooms are clean even though a bit small. The Hotel authority take more care on upkeep of the rooms especially the AC machines. The food served in the restaurant were really tasty.
