Hello , I am Dr.Ananya from Kolkata , we stayed here for 1 night only but we all are so amazed by the warm behaviour of Mr.Bilal , the houseboat was also very clean and with all the required facilities, the food was just awesome, most importantly the behaviour of Mr.Bilal is so good the the service is so fast , we just loved our stay … I would recommend everyone to stay here whenever  you are visiting kashmir and planning to stay in a houseboat, you will not regret.

Hi, Houseboat Howrah has 4 spacious 
rooms with western style bathrooms, bathtubs, electricity and good comfortable beds. Telephone, Hifi, DVD, TV are also available. The Billoo family accepts traveller cheques, have a bank account and the nearest bank also has a money machine for getting cash with your cards. Ali Billoo and his sons speaks very good english and have more than 20 years of experience in organizing trecking and fishing tours in Kashmir and Ladakh for groups and individuals. The Sonamarg and Pahalgam glaciers are breathtaking – a must go. You can go trecking by horse and fish for big trouts in the Himalayan.  Srinagar is far away from the unstable border region to Pakistan. I felt safe at all times. Kashmiris are open minded and friendly, representing the spiritual Sufi branch of Islam. They are strict muslims but very tolerant to other religions (you´ll find also churches, Sikh- and Hindu-temples in Srinagar). Kashmiri people will not hassle you on the streets, woman can even travel on their own.

i visited Howrah house boat on 14th May 2016 & stayed there till 16th may 2016 . it was wonderful experience . house boat is more beautiful than its shown in picture . amazing location , best home made food , we got amazing service , owner of the Boat Mr. Imran Billo was very helpful and kind to us and our children . we were 9 people so we booked whole boat of three bedrooms & got complete privacy , location of house boat is very good all the picnic spots are near by. boat is clean & furniture is in good condition . we wanted to stay more but next day they were booked for other customer. i ll recommend it to every one . i have seen other house boats on dal lake but those are not really good in condition & even rate were high , so as compare to those boat i would strongly recommend Howrah House boat for good service. it is well maintained boat. i already passed on there number to my friends & family members , i ll visit next year again for sure .

We were a group of 7 family members checked in for two days( 5th and6th of June)..We were moved by the great hospitality of Mr Imran, his father and whole family.
They take all the steps to make our stay comfortable and a memorable one.
The food served on the boat was awesome.

I have travelled around the world for many years. Im a sole traveller from sydney. I had been to kashmir before but never had a chance to stay on a house boat.  So this trip i decided to stay on the dal lake.  My friend imran billoo and his family welcomed me to stay on there houseboat. I was greeted and was apart of the family. All meals and tours were organised by the family. They took me everywhere. Sightseeing shopping and to many of kasmirs tourist spots. I even went to gulmarg. It was terrific. Staying on the howrah houseboat was one of the best experiences of my life and i will cherish it with fond memories forever.  The amenities and service on the houseboat were clean. Very well maintained...would recommend family and friends to definitely stay with this wonderful family and experience a magical holiday like i did.  I will definitely come back to stay on the howrah houseboat on the dal lake. Staying with Imran and his gorgeous family was terrific. They even bought me a gift when i was leaving which i was honoured to receive. Thank you so much billoo family. You all made my stay magnificent and will forever be greatful.  Love always....
