Its nice property to stay staff are so friendly its good resort for family.They fullfilling our request at anycost.Especially sathish were so good.He helped us a lot.Thanks for a support.......Lot of view point near to the resort.We got full supports from staffs.

About stay

Mixed feelings: You will enjoy outdoors. Rooms are waste of money. The rooms are set like lodge. If you can get it for ₹2500 or less with breakfast it’s not a good option. Anything above that think twice. After long drive you don’t have to experience substandard experience 

Outdoors 
1. Very good kids play area 
2. Nice walking space 
3. Good sit outs in 2nd floor 
4. You can enjoy nice breeze and walks 
5. Ducks, Rabbits and hens kids will enjoy 

Rooms
1. Pathetic and substandard . Most rooms are below average. 
2. I took room 226 , then changed to 225 both are worst. I was told all double, twin bed or queen bed rooms are same 
3. Toilets and Toiletries below average for what you pay
4. No towels 

Food
1. Alacarte menus is good 
2. Dinner Buffet is reasonable for the price 
3. Lunch buffet ₹300 for South Indian meals which is not worth it. Lunch is rip-off
4. BreakFast buffet is decent
5. Food taste is reasonable 

Great outdoor, substandard rooms and average service. You need to understand they are not used to hospitality. If they have to sustain they should learn transparency and hospitality.

We stayed @ SLR for 4 days, with kids and elders. The retreat as the name says is an excellent place to relax. It has lot of amenities to choose. 

You can take a nice morning or evening walk around the property which has slopes and pathways.
Or Sit and relax in the big terrace overlooking the mountains and enjoy the view
 If you love to Jog, have fun and fitness, then take the path from the hotel towards the winding roads down outside the main gate. Jogging up and down the winding roads for few kms will be a nice cardio exercise for those who love to do. All the way you can get serene views of paddy fields, pine trees, mountain view. 

Location :
Hotel was built at a beautiful vantage spot atop a hill which has 360 degree mountain view.  You can sun rise , as well as sun set from the hotel, which is beautiful

Ambience & Amenities:
Calm, Serene lush green surroundings with mountain view in all directions. This retreat has a Helipad too. It has lift too, which will be a big relief to elders.
Games room with Carrom & Table tennis; Kerala ayurveda massage facilities; Children’s play area; Inner garden with sitting benches with tiled roof huts to relax, have Coffee or tea or food; 

Outdoor lawn:
Stone dining tables in the open area lawn on the upper side of the hotel for a relaxed meal. This is the perfect place for morning yoga, to get abundant fresh air from the mountains to fill your lungs. This is also a perfect place for outdoor event, functions etc.

There are couple of banquet halls in the hotel with good seating capacity to conduct functions, wedding, birthdays, conference, meetings and for corporate team outings etc with all required facilities. 

Rooms:
There are around 60 rooms arranged in two floors, built in a circular design like the Parliament building. Almost all rooms have mountain view. Rooms are clean with chairs, bed & blankets, towels, bath accessories, water heater etc. Has TV which has almost all channels subscribed. This is really good to spend some time on entertainment.

Staff:
Very polite, friendly and courteous staff at the reception, dining, and other areas. They serve the guests as per the menu choice either to the rooms or at the restaurant. Both the management and the staff are friendly and listen to guests and provides them the required help and assistance.

Parking :
Vast parking space. Can accommodate buses, vans.

Sustainability initiatives:
As spoken to the owners of the hotel, they have implemented Zero water wastage. The kitchen and bathroom water is treated thro multi layered natural filters and let to the garden down the slope to grow plants, vegetables and trees.
Huge solar panels are installed on the terrace of the property which is used to power the rooms, water heaters and other areas.
The hotel also installed a wind turbine to generate power from the wind which blows almost regularly. 
These environment friendly initiatives are really to be appreciated, which will preserve and protect the mountains for the future.

Shopping:
At a place called Solakkadu you can get all varieties of spices, honey, millets, traditional rice, hill banana, mangoes, jackfruit, and other fruits 

Visiting Spots:
From the hotel these spots are at a close distance View point, Agaya gangai waterfalls, Maasila waterfalls, Arapalli Eswarar temple, Boating point

Travel:
Climbing starts from few kms from Namakkal  and you have to climb and cross may small villages to reach SLR. We heard there are 2 routes. One with around 72 hairpin bends and the other one with less hairpin bends. We choose the second route as suggested by the officer @ the check post.

There will be many road dividing spots where you will have to choose which way to go. Better to ask some one and confirm the routes. Google maps sometimes don’t work due to poor mobile signal at some places.

Family enjoyed the stay and we will definitely visit SLR frequently and will also refer to friends.

Silverline Retreat Hotel - Excellent hotel, the biggest and beautiful in Kolli Hills

Recently I have visit kolli hills ..to spend good time with my family .This the first time I have visit kolli hills ..

In the entire hills the most beautiful place was SLR resort it’s located on highest peak .really my family and my baby enjoyed lot and played well .

Really the maintain the garden child’s play area and landscaping very well. in the evening time we can spend good time in park and gardens with beautiful coffee ..

They have helipad also in the center area 

Food was really good in resort and way of serving also good ..

Manager and all staff are very polite and good to take care of there customers very well ..

I have strongly recommend SLR resort  is very safe place for family .we will spend good time in resort itself without going out .

Kolli hills Family trip

Myself and two of my friends,all are senior citizen,checked in the Silverline resort on 16/01/2023. We called room service and ordered food for dinner at 7.30pm.But the person in charge informed us that the food will be delivered only after 8.30 pm.If we want food then we have to come to the restaurant and eat buffet food there and no Ala carte is available. We waited till 9pm and got our order from the restaurant after several calls to the reception and room service.We disappointed the customer service provided to us

Poor service and hospitality

We went for a short break for a 3 day/2 night stay, The drive up from Namakkal was awesome with its 70 haripin bends. Exciting stuff. Even though there were the hotel sign boards now and then, reaching the hotel took some time as we cannot read Tamil and so had to ask people. The room was quite spacious but one aspect which strikes you immediately is the lack of maintenance right from the lobby. The bathroom was a bit dirty with leaking pipes. All the rooms are surrounding a garden with good sitouts and it was quite enjoyable. Again the garden is dirty in places with paper and trash in places. The property is on top of a hill with superb views and spread across a vast area. The gardens surrounding it is quite nice. Parking is not an issue at all. In fact on the first floor we could park the cars close to the rooms. The food was mostly buffet as it was the resort was running full. It was delicioys vegetarian spread. Non veg had to be ordered separately and getting it was quite a chore as the kitchen was constantly busy attending to the buffet requirements. A big positive is that this property is quite secluded and very quite. The staff were quite helpful.

Superb location but poor maintenance

Cannot express how great the stay was at this hotel. This experience has been above my expectations. Funny story.. We were able to land our nano drone at their well built helipad. The food was not a buffet as it was a weekday. We were pretty much the one of 3 families but we understand why its not possible to run a buffet for 3 families. Great manager and great location overall!

Extremely nice and well maintained hotel. Nice staff..

We as a group of friends with family visited the resort in October 22. The ambience was great and neat. The location is close to all the attracions and we can reach those places in less than 20 minutes
When we were there the MD of the resort Mr. Ravindrareddy visited the resort for some development activity. He approached us and was asking about the stay and food. He also was eager to know incase we face any issues and wanter to improve. He was a simple and downto earth person
The GM of the Resort Mr. Ebenezer also was very helpful. He took care of the food preparation closely and was asking about the quality etc.

We had a very good stay amd it was memorable. We will visit this place again as Agayagangai was closed during that time. We will stay in this resort for sure next time as well

Excellent resort, good location and tasty food

We stayed in Silverline Retreat Hotel for a couple of nights - 14 to 16 Oct 2022. We were a group of 25 comprising of friends and family members of all age groups. Based on reviews and direct personal inspection, we chose this resort and made reservations for the stay well in advance. 

The resort is located in a beautiful scenic location close to the main road and surrounded by hills all around. All the important sightseeing spots and the one shopping area are located within 8 to 10 km from the resort and easily reached by any vehicle. The views from the resort itself are excellent in all directions with the opportunity to have great views of both sunrise and sunset. The landscaping of the resort building and the surrounding area is innovatively designed with direct access by vehicle to the reception area at the lower level as well as to a parking zone just outside rooms on the second floor. There are around 60 rooms, 30 on each of the 2 floors arranged in a circle with a beautifully maintained garden at the centre with numerous seating available for spending spare time. Amenities in the building include a kids’ playing area, indoor gaming room - table tennis, carrom – and a bonfire arrangement (weather permitting).

Rooms are available to hold 1, 2, 3 or 4 persons and are very spacious and cleanly maintained. Hot water is supplied round the clock. Rooms are provided with bottled drinking water and kettle/supplies for making tea/coffee. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food are served, and the food served was generally very good.

The staff made us extremely comfortable and attended to our needs in a reasonable time. The management was also kind enough to arrange the procurement of good quality spices for our group in bulk at a nominal cost.

This should be the best-staying facility available around the Kolli Hills area. We were immensely satisfied and would not hesitate to choose the same resort for any further visits.

Some suggestions for further improvement:
•	Wi-Fi – Currently available only around the reception area and not inside the rooms.
•	Room service hours need to be extended, particularly in the nights.
•	They could consider making arrangements for outdoor trekking and sightseeing trips for those who might need them. 
•	The final approach road to the resort was rough and needs to be laid.


Splendid Kolli resort with a serene ambience, good food and excellent room facilities

SLR is having well maintained rooms, courteous staff, tasty food. Greenery sit outs, lawns and surrounding garden are enjoyable. Good place for nature lovers. Plan to enjoy SLR stay and explore the surrounding second time soon.
