Nimmu House is a true gem and staying there made my trip extra wonderful :)
Surrounded by towering mountains and lush greenery, this heritage property offers a unique and authentic experience for travellers seeking tranquility and comfort.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a stunning view of the landscape, setting the tone for a memorable stay. The property boasts a harmonious blend of traditional charm and modern amenities, with well-appointed rooms in the main house and beautifully designed tents outside. The outdoor setting is perfect for nature lovers, featuring a barbecue area, an inviting dining space, and breathtaking views of the surrounding scenery. Guests can also enjoy yoga sessions to rejuvenate both mind and body, adding a holistic touch to their stay.
The staff at Nimmu House elevates the experience further, their attention to detail, the warmth and the smiling faces adds to the experience.

Tranquil Bliss

I work in hospitality. It’s difficult to find a place as beautiful and taken care as Nimmu house, really.  

The love for heritage tradition with its old awesome building, their concern about sustanaibility (no plastic), the high service (unforgetable smiles and warmth of Indrani and Vikram and the rest of the staff), the yoga room has a special atmosphere, with a delicious food and the unique landscape of Ladakh.

After 15 days in Ladakh and many hotels visited, this is my favourite by far.

My favourite stay in Ladakh by far

Nimmu House is a truly special place. We stayed there on the recommendation of a friend and we weren't disappointed. Each staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The owners are particularly charming. The courtyard is a glimpse of what heaven might be like (apple blossom, gentle sun, mountains in the distance, the soft sound of bees). The rooms are lovely and warm despite chilly weather. They are filled with thoughtful touches. The food is delicious and I was particularly pleased as I have a number of dietary requirements. Everything was carefully addressed as if it was no trouble at all. This is the perfect place to adapt to the altitude, and I hope to return in future.

A Wonderful Home Away From Home

I visited Nimmu House with my mother, as a retirement treat for her, and stayed for 5 nights. It was an absolute pleasure and a privilege to stay at such a heritage property. Indrani, Vikram and their team have ensured that the guests are not left wanting any comforts in this 100+ years old property. Although, mum and I went with the aim to relax and not really take up much activities, but it became very clear to us that Indrani and Vikram had many ideas up their sleeve. They were very happy to plan our days of exploration for us as well as have experiences built in the property itself.

To sum up, we loved:
1. The location -  Nimmu Village was easily accessible by good roads and yet, the location is remote enough to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of Leh city.
2. The property - the house itself is so beautiful and brilliantly preserved. We stayed in one of the rooms since the tents had not been opened yet. The room had all amenities and very comfortable bed. 
3. The grounds - it needs a special mention, since the whole area is so beautiful. There is a mini stream that flows through the property, bringing fresh water from the mountains. The entire place is filled with apricot, apple and walnut trees. Indrani and Vikram were also in the process of growing their own vegetables and herbs for their kitchen. 
4. The food - we have thoroughly enjoyed everything that came out from the kitchen, and throughout our stay there we did not have a single complaint. 
5. The service - while Indrani and Vikram ensured that we were well cared for, the other members of the staff were also always available to us. While we lounged away in their excellently spread out outdoor area, with a view of the entire garden and snow capped mountains... The members of the staff kept a check on us and if we had any requirements. They also ensured that at turndown, hot water bags were placed on the bed, so we had a very warm and cozy bed waiting for us at night. Their kind gestures were really appreciated. 

We brought back some amazing memories from our stay there and are already planning our next visit. 

An amazing property and one of the best experiences

To say we had an amazing experience at Nimmu House, will be an understatement. My words, vocabulary, language and my articulation of this experience cannot do justice to how much and what I truly want to convey!
From arrival to departure at Nimmu house, the hosts made sure to make every moment special. Both the hosts are very warm, loving, friendly and approachable.
At Nimmu house, beauty at its peak, nature in abundance, comfort offered with every detail, we couldn't have found a better place for our stay. In fact, the hosts raised the benchmark of hospitality to such a degree, that we couldn't feel the same elsewhere after Nimmu house. 
Food served to us, felt filled with pure divine energies, it was picked straight from their fields and cooked. We could almost feel the positive energies, (PRANA) in the food. 
Very welcoming, caring team of staff and amazing people. 
Can't wait to revisit. 


An Experience not to be missed, not to be forgotten!

I had a wonderful stay at the Nimmu House. I was part of a yoga retreat of 11 women. I had a beautiful room, super comfy bed, loved the hot water bottle turn down! So much to say; loved the sustainable focus, the food was absolutely incredible…fresh, flavorful, served with love and care. The grounds themselves were lovely, apple and apricot trees, the brook running through the property; it was such a peaceful oasis.  The owners, Vikrim and Indrani (and their team) took so much care to ensure that our very need was taken care of! I highly recommend 💞

Must stay when visiting Leh!

I had attended a yoga retreat at Nimmu House. The staff, actually I would have to call them the Nimmu Family, were so professional, kind and helpful, they really made us feel like we were at home, from the beauty clean rooms and bathrooms and  every meal was so delicious and fresh, I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again. I highly recommend Nimmu House for a peaceful getaway.

Nimmu House is a charming 100-year-old Ladakhi home with stunning views of snow-capped mountains and lush greenery. The staff, including wonderful hosts Vikram and Indrani, provide exceptional hospitality, and hands-on manager Shuba went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The property offers ample seating spaces, well-equipped tents, and a variety of activities. The home-cooked meals were delicious, and the attention to detail was impressive. Overall, a unique and memorable experience, and highly recommended for a peaceful and rejuvenating break.

A Charming and Memorable Escape in Ladakh

One of the best and most unique hotel experiences I've had. Indrani, Vikram and the entire staff are extremely welcoming. They go above and beyond to provide a unique and authentic Ladakhi experience. Their artful restoration of the historic building, dedication to the village, knowledge and help in planning on the ground are unparalleled. Nimmu village itself is incredibly scenic, filled with orchards and surrounded by the mountains. A stay in the house is a window into its history. An outstanding choice and experience. Thank you!
