it's a lovely place to occasionally see black monkey's, cheeky monkey's, one wild boar, goats, cows, birds, buffaloes, dogs, cats, and mostly it's quiet with no traffic.  We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed local style breakfast that was different every day. we're vegan and it wasn't a problem to cater for us. We also had our dinner here and it was plentiful and delicious. We ate in their sitting/kitchen area. Our room was upstairs behind the main house which had its own outside access via a staircase and covered balcony. We had the freedom to come and go as we pleased. The room had two very comfortable single beds made up as a double. The sheet was fitted really well and didn't slip off ((happy😬)). Large bathroom with a towel rack, soap dish, toilet paper and spare toilet paper, hand towel and bath towels.  The shower was good although it wasn't always hot I enjoyed the cooler temperatures more. The family are amazing and really kind. English spoken.  They looked after us very well.

Nice location with balcony towards the wild with all the sounds and sights of it - lovely to wake up to in the early morning.
Big rooms, great bed, strong fan, good tv with moviechannels, strong wifi in my room (but might depend on which room you get). Nice professionell owners adapting to client and their demands - very good. For the money excellent! 

Great homestay

Wild window is named in its true sense. The balcony facing the reserve forest is indeed a window to spot a few species and relax in the lap of nature. Being a homestay, the service rendered by the hosts were simply remarkable. Food was absolutely delicious. Spacious, well furnished and neatly maintained rooms. Do head to this beautiful homestay if you are looking for a memorable and most importantly a budget friendly stay! Will definitely visit this place again.

Especially hospitality,Service and pure homily food.
We are looking a accomadtion in front of the Forest, so this is absolutely chance to see many Wild Animals & Birds watching very closely.

Excellent homily atmosphere

It was very enjoyable to stay in a Home stay in front of the forest. It was a good atmosphere because it was situated very closely in the Periyar Tiger Reserve Forest. The service and Homely food was very awesome.The place is very beautiful and grassy. The room is very marvellous,neat,tidy and the climatic condition is very good. We have seen some wild animals. The nature is very nice more than our expectation. So we try to once again visit the place.
