I recently stayed at Hotel Hornbill in Guwahati, and it was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The entire place was a disaster from start to finish, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

The rooms were completely unmaintained—covered in dust, with broken switchboards, and not a single plug point working. The air conditioner couldn’t be turned off because the switch didn’t work, and the remote they provided was useless. The flush didn’t work in any of the rooms where my group members were staying, except for one. When we requested an alternate room, they gave us one with a working flush, but the hand shower was broken. It felt like a never-ending list of problems.

To make matters worse, the toilets were filthy—completely uncleaned. The commodes and bathrooms were so dirty they had turned black. It was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, there was no water for an entire day! The water ran out while I was bathing, leaving me stuck without being able to rinse off.

The manager’s behavior was unbelievably rude, with zero remorse for the issues we faced. He didn’t even have the basic decency to check if everything was okay before we checked in. When we asked for clean bedsheets, they gave us used ones that literally had footprints all over them! It was beyond unhygienic.

This place is a complete nightmare—overpriced, dirty, with broken amenities, and staff who couldn’t care less. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Hotel Hornbill.

Living nightmare

Seems like the hotel owner doesn't have much revenue for the renovation of the hotel 🙄

The hotel looks like almost some abandoned building the only place inside the hotel which is well furnished is reception only
You can barge into any one of the rooms since they do not have any safety and security SOP

The hotel staff doesn't even know who came and who went out since there is no one at the front of the door

And surprisingly the reception is at the first floor and still I'm not able to understand why 🤣

Anyways save your money and be sure to check reviews before booking unless you want to experience your stay and waste your good money like us you are welcome

Worst Hotel in the World Ever Visited.
I would urge all of you be alert before you give a booking to this hotel. The compete hotel management is fraud you have no basic service. You guest would in hell. Only 10 rooms in the hotel has towels rest does not have and owners knows the same. But not at all bothered and most threatening part was no one is bothered so think twice before you choose this hotel. Rather u cancel ur booking bit never choose for this hotel.

Plz don't make any online booking for this hotel. He even don't shows up the rooms before. I made a booking for 29th sept2020. Via Goibgo. As I went to hotel first of all there was no one at entrance or reception to guide us to (there was one more person waiting for check in).. then after half an hour the owner came and when I asked his to show the room he refused and asked to show us the booking first. After checking the bookings he totally refused for allowing to check in. He also denied to talk to goibgo and told us that he is not allowing us for check in at this rate and bullied that what can u do. After a wait of 1hr and seeing the behavior of owner I cancelled my booking and moved to another. this is totally ridiculous. Plz dont book online for this hotel.

Washrooms are poor both in cleanliness and facilities
Never ever come to this place.
At the same budget you can get many other good place in the city 

Worst Place 

U am a frequent traveller and has stayed in many good and bad hotel with executive and budget hotels since last 20 years   . 
For the first time I had ever experiences a terrible life exp for worst hotel . The staffs were non professional even the Manager spoke rudely . I had spoken to the GM over  telephone he ensure look at the matter but nothing positive . 
The rooms were unsafe .
Broken toilet accessories 
Showers not working 
Very old furniture ( years old) 
Door lock not working 
Set top box not available at room .
Damaged room with no maintenance. 
Worst Breakfast with oilly food . 
Most importantly Cats running at corridoor. 
Has paid the full amount even for uncomfortable family stay   .

I am still expecting a Apology from the management for the rude behaviour , Unhygienic Stay & ignorance by staffs .  

Plz don't  stay at Hornbill search something nearby there are many good options  too . 

Worst Experience of my life . (Needed Apology)

I would rather give 0 star to such a terrible service. They even dont recharge set top box of tv set upon several request in a couple of days.

They dont clean room also dont change bedsheets on asking a lot of times. Service is very very poor. 

On complaining about services there house keeping staff start shouting on guests.

Rooms dont have proper lighting. Staff is very terrible.

Never stay in this hotel.

I went with a group to this hotel upon assurance of the manager that he will give excellent service.

Upon arrival we found the room so dirty and unkept. There were dirt marks on the Comode in one room. The bed sheets were dirty and the extra beds were not put.

Upon complaining the manager switched off his phone and went home. The staff at the reception was helpless. The air conditioners in some rooms were not working.

Don't ever book this hotel.there are not sufficient stuffs for attending the guests.rooms are dirty toilets not cleaned,ACs not working.in brief there is no accommodation for guests to stay comfortable.its no HORNBILL it's Horror bill.
