Hotel Meghma, Darjeeling

During our 8days tour to Darjleeng -Gangtok  30th April to 10th May 19 we had stayed at Hotel Meghma Gandhi Road. Hotel is at 10mins away from Darjleeng Railway Station. Market is very near at walkable distance. You can get breakfast and lunch/ dinner as per your request. Nice budget hotel for families and friends

We visited Darjeeling on this Puja Vacation without having any booking of Hotel. We were 4 Adults with a Kid. After so many search of accomodation finally we got this Hotel at Gandhi Road. The Manager here is a very good person, although all the rooms were booked previously , yet he is manage a four bedded room for us. The Hotel is very beautiful, its rooms, Bed Linens, Toilets everything was OK. Locationwise it is on the main Gandhi Road, Oposite Darjeeling Open School. From the Front side Rooms you can view the Mighty Kanchenjunga if sky is clear, we are lucky enough that we can see it one fine morning. The Hotel have a small restaurant, you can dine over there in the night because alternative is less in the Gandhi Road. This Hotel is 10 minutes walking distance from Darjeeling Chowrashta or Municipality alternatively you can take a cab from Chowrashta.

Nice and comfortable stay!!!!

A Nice stay in Darjeeling

Ordinary Hotel. Room so so. But Very nice and attractive view of K2 from Room and Balcony. Food is superb. Great behaviour of all staff's. Water lickage from ceiling and wall. Room condition is not ok most probably due to weather and atmosphere.

Hotel's location is not bad, not very far from the mall but hotel doesn't get any sunshine whatsoever. Rooms ar cold and damp. However food quality n staff hospitality is good. Overall a very average hotel.

Just an average budget hotel

I was in darjeeling in may.Overall it was good experience but not as expected.
I was shifted from one hotel to another as it was a season time and there was no room on the hotel i use to prefer but i like the food and service of meghma.

This hotel is situated not very far from the mall and its great palace to stay if you looking for a quite Stay .the room are comfortable and clean. The staff was polite and good service. We had a great time here. Thnxs to mr santosh.

Lovely palace within budget 

We stayed for 2 nights in normal rooms in the first floor. The rooms were damp and the paint was wet throughout our stay. The wet paint ruined our bags and some clothes. There were no carpets provided in the room, and when asked, we were given only one small carpet. There were no towels provided either. No one came to clean the rooms in the 2 days we stayed. We took 3 normal rooms all in the first floor, and the bathroom doors were broken on all of them. The basin in the bathroom was broken in one of the rooms as well. Most of the staff were least bothered about cleanliness of the rooms and also not bothered about our comfort. Please do not spoil your hard earned money on this absolute disgrace of a hotel.

Disgusting Hotel and Rude Staff

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. This is a terrible place to stay. With smelly rooms to staff behaviour to food, everything here is astonishingly terrible. You can't put any other words to describe this property.

Never stay here. The location is what a good point alone, but there are several better options itself in this locality.

Terrible

We checked in on 20th of May, Infact i am writing this after 3hrs of checkin.

First we informed kitchen that no chilli at all for two people as they were under medication. But there was red chilli powder in every food even in lentils, after complaining this they brought new lentils an veggie but there was whole dried dip fried chilli. When we showed them the chilli they were shouting on eachother. How can they be so unprofessional and no communication.

After this i requested Chef to prepare oat meal that i bought from shop as she was empty stomach. They said on but when we handed over the oat they said gonna take time. Such a looser they couldnt even boil the oats that wont even take 5 minutes.

We came back to room and tried to drink water, we found the glass was not even cleaned and wiped....there was a lipstick marks as well as some kind of food sticked.

Finally when we informed this to front desk they even didnt said sorry.

My wife had to sleep empty stomach as it was 9:30pm and eveything was closed nearby.

Very very dissapointed, i am not saying every hotels are same here but the small hotels back in Sikkim where we stayed delivered us very professional and warm hospitality.
