Worst management 
Street fighter and  very arrogant lady manager.
AC not working 
Very low standerd rooms as per they charged.
No lock for bathroom and room
All around local cats and doges are wondering
Things gets stolen from rooms

Do not visit this place it's terrible

They are very ridiculous people, people things are not safe there, they steal things from your luggage when you are out and owner is also supporting them, he didn’t even allow to see the CCTV footage, they stole my 25000 watch from my luggage, don’t even try to book this place. This place spoiled my whole trip.

Theft

It is in the remotest of places. On Google Maps it shows as 5 mins walking distance from Anjuna Beach. That was the reason for my booking. 

Parking is at a different place altogether. You will have to carry your luggage from a jungle track for a good 5 mins to reach the entrance of the hotel. By the way, you will not be able to see the hotel from the parking as you will have pass zig zag through houses to reach the gate. 

Filled in the register, provided the ID Proofs and paid the amount through Credit Card. Hold this thought for now. We will visit this thread at the end. 

When we reached, there was no electricity. The guide sheet mentions 'High Speed fan in case of no electricity'. Forget high, forget speed. Fan just spins as much that you can count the spots on the blades. Top of it, the regulator is broken. See the attached pictures. 

As per info, electricity was not there since morning. It returned within 2 hours after we checked-in the afternoon. 
There is no power backup for AC.

The intercom does not work. So for any order you either go to the reception or call them on thier mobile. Remember the mobile network is non-existent. So you will def have to walkout each time. 

Bed had insects on it. Ants on the side table. Check the attached pictures. 
We requested for a cleanup.

Bathroom has no latch and is just next to bed. It neither is soundproof nor closes enough to make you comfortable. No toiletries but there was this frog trying to make his way out of the bathroom. 

When we checked-in, we noticed the hotel owner arguing with a group. Apparently the bathroom glass was cracked before the group checked in. And it broke as soon as the female tried to use washroom. Owner was adamant to recover the full amount of the glass and the repair charges from this group. There were some heated discussion between the owner and the group. Something that made us uncomfortable. 

This was my first visit to Anjuna so thought the beach is what we should think of before judging. 5 mins walk from the beach shack. Yes it is, only if you are ok with walking through a jungle track. At night this 5 min road is pitch black, atleast when I came back from the beach shack. 
When we came back, the electricity was missing again and it was total darkness. If someone was standing infront of you, in the garden background, you wouldn't notice.

We decided to check-out. We booked another hotel instantly. We raised a cancellation request through Booking.com. We were told by Booking.com that Curlies had denied full refund and we would have to pay for single night stay. That amount was worth checking out of the hotel.

The checkout experience was even worse. The receptionist guy is the only one that knows the process. The owner requested us to wait till he returns. That guy returned in an hour during which time we sat in total darkness. The receptionist returned and I asked him to cancel our booking and for refund we had already raised it to Booking.com. He said that I do not have to do anything. We walked out through the pitch black dark jungle route to parking to get the cab. 

We checked out thinking that the worse was over. However, yesterday I found the amount was not refunded and upon investigating along with Booking.com, found that the Credit Card was swiped on a different POS machine at the hotel which is not in their name and now they are denying that I even paid. I have transaction details which does not have the hotel name in the narration. Booking.com is unable to help and have asked me to raise a dispute with the bank to get the machine details. Now i am entangled in this mess.

Worst place to stay. Fraudsters.

It was a amazing place to stay . Awesome hospitality by Mr.Kiran and Room service staff Mr.Raju. Curlies shack and Anjuna beach is at walking distance . 

Superb ambience and environment maintained by the staff and the owner. 

Breakfast included and it is ok as per the tariff they are offering the stay.

They made our trip ...strongly recommended.



Marvelous stay 

First of all don't go by the pictures & the reviews made here. They are all false & misrepresented to the highest possible levels. I did the same mistake of booking it based on these reviews. I think they put up these false reviews on their own as nobody's there to verify it.

We were a couple & we stayed in Jan/Feb, 2020.

1. No road to the property- Literally there is no such marked road to the property, you just have to find a way to get there. Don't even think of driving there via a car. You will be stranded in middle of the jungle.

2. Horrible rooms- There are frogs, insects, spiders & cobwebs inside the room(See PIC attached). Upon taking this with the hotel staff/attendants they were so rude & they didn't even bother to pay a heed to our complain. Their reply was you are close to nature & you are ought to get these in your room, we can't help it. The bathroom drains didn't have even covers, from where the frogs kept entering entire night. We could barely sleep the entire 3 nights as we were constantly on fear that whether a snake will pop-up from the hole in search of these frogs.

3. Dirty walls/screens/beds- Stains everywhere- be it walls, be is the screens/blinders or even the beedsheets & towels(see PIC).

4. Subpar breakfast- There is no kitchen as such. It just a pan shop style small cabin where they prepare just some snacks & sometimes serve warm beers. Also, please don't fall for the "breakfast included" crap. On the name of breakfast, only you get couple of boiled eggs, 3/4 pieces of bread with a jam/butter pouch. Upon asking more egg, the kitchen staff out rightly denied even though we insisted to pay. Who denies for one extra boiled egg?

Horrible would be an understatement for this property. I would say in the land of Goa, you get thousand options for stay. Don't ever think of checking out this place & don't ruin your Goa memories.

Horrible Stay, Misrepresented Photos, Rude Staff, Unhygienic Place

Nice supportive staff tasty food. Safe rooms and safe hotel to stay at this time and amazing and fast services Ms. Sahaya is very good and helpful and knowledgeable We would definitely come back, but now with family fore sure. Thanks Team "Curlies Zulu Land."

Hygienic and Happy Stay

I had an amazing experience with curlies zulu land cottages with their excellent service. I would recommend all to visit here. i went there with my family for the first time and it was a lovely time and we had so much fun.

Review for staying in hotel

We visited Curlies Zulu Land over the weekend. The staff at the hotel was very courteous. Well appointed rooms, immaculate hygiene and cleanliness and efficient staff, always ready to serve with a smile. 
The corona protocol they follow is exacting and faultless.
Thank you Team Curlies Zulu Land Goa for giving us this holiday cherish.
