We had a very pleasant stay the first week of January. The house is really lovely and Bjorg is very kind and friendly. The B&B is slightly outside from the city centre but it is very well connected as there's Mjódd bus terminal just around the corner. We would definitely recommend it for your stay in Reykjavík!

Bjorg communicated well with us before we arrived.  Her house was beautiful and spacious.  She was very friendly and helpful.  We stayed at one of the rooms in the basement.  There was a side door and you could go in the house straight from the parking to our room.  That made it very easy for us to come in and go out and also moving our luggage.  The room was nicely decorated.  Even though we had to share a bathroom with the other room but it worked out very well.  There was a small fully equipped kitchen with a small table that could sit 4 people.  The breakfast area was very nice and breakfast was delicious.  I highly recommend Aros Guesthouse.

Beautiful guesthouse. Clean rooms amd bathrooms. Very quiet and peaceful. Stayed at studio in basement. Studio includes two rooms with shared bathroom and shared fully equiped kitchen.
The host offers continental breakfast everyday 7.30-10am. Big table setting that allows to meet other guests.
Approx 7 minute drive from downtown. Great price/location mix. 
Would stay again.

Being outside of the centre, this guest house is cheaper but is in a nice, spacious and very clean house. Very close by is a main bus stop with regular buses to get in to central Reykjavik and a large supermarket. The rooms are comfortable, but smallish and the shared bathroom is clean and of a good size. There is a fridge to store your own food and drink and free coffee and tea making facilities. The living room area is also fairly sizeable and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Overall, good value for Iceland.
