Cottage 2 was the perfect place for our family of 3. The owners have managed to squeeze a lot into that tiny house (for context, we have stayed in several similar cottages on this and previous trips to Iceland). Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful grounds, friendly owners. And hubby got to see the Northern Lights by simply walking out the front door. Only negative was the large amount of bird droppings on front porch, but we stepped around it - what can you do? It looked like the owner was trying to keep the chairs and table clean. 

We stayed in Akureyri on our last trip but our toddler loved running around outdoors at Artun. And we all loved the fresh mountain air. We would stay at Artun again in a heartbeat.

2 excellent nights at Artun 

This was one of the the most perfect accommodations in our whole Iceland trip. The house is located just by the side of Eyjafjörður. It is well decorated, has any kitchen tool you may need, it has underfloor heating, bathroom is clean, the beds are pretty comfy. The owners of the place were also so helpful and friendly. They were smiling from the very first moment and they showed every help we may need including the tips about northern lights:) It is possible to take photos of the lights in the backyard as we did but you can also take a little ride up those hills of Akureyri and find a more beautiful location.

Magnificent

It was a warm welcome on a cold and wet evening in June, after a long drive from Keflavik. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was fantastic.
Breakfast was served in the "sun-room" which should be awesome if the sun ever showed up. Though there were low clouds and fog during our stay, we could still see mountain views all around. In better visibility, you will see Kaldbakur mountain on the the other side of the fjord. 
The property also has a full-service campsite. Nearby is the well reviewed Polar-Hestur horse farm where you can ride some Icelandic horses.

Great views of mountains all around, quite place, close to Akureyri

We stayed here on our trip around the ring road in Iceland. The site is located along the hillside of a mountain with a great view of the valley below. We had great facilities, with a hot shower in the morning, and we were able to enjoy the entire campsite area to ourselves. There is a cookhouse area with washroom that we made breakfast in, which was nice to have the space compared to our camper van we were staying in. Our hosts were really friendly and made us feel welcomed.

Great camp site on the side of a mountain

We spent a night at this brand new cottage. The cottage is small, has all amenities except a dishwasher. It would be great the owner could installed one. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and 1 tripl bedroom. The owner is friendly and helpful. The cottage is located near to a camp site with beautiful scenery around. It is a nice cottage despite the size is small.
