Orel Apartments

Orel apartment was very nice place for staying, was very clean and comfortable. The mattresses were good for sleeping. The host is a nice and helpful guy, he speaks English what was important for us, in one words every thing was perfect.

This is an immaculate apartment block approx 10 minutes walk from the centre and the lake.The owner speaks several languages and is very helpful.
the apartment itself was ell supplied with kitchen ,cooking facilities and a fridge.
We stayed in a 4 star hotel in budapest prior tocomming here and I mush prefer the decor ,facilities and clenliness here.
it is quite tricky trying to find restaurants in the centre as they seem to be hidden away,,if you want to but a swimsuit however there are hundreds of them.
I can;'t rememeber the name of the restaurant we have eaten in a couple of time but if you leave the apartments turn right and keep walking you get to the end of the street (300) metres and there is a fab restaurant across the road.
We had two courses beer ,1 ltre wine,palinka and a carry out ltr of wines for £20 and the food was brilliant.

Apartments are situated in quiet street, in walking distance from centre and lake - Heviz is very small, so everything is close. We came after check-in time which is 18.00. It was no problem but I called owner in advance. There was a bottle of the water in the room as well as city map at the arrival. Owner was very nice and helpful, he explained us basic orientation in the city. Room was spacious and very clean. Furniture was simple but pretty. In overall, we liked the room and whole apartment building, which is new and well maintained. Wi-Fi internet was accessible in the room, despite the fact it should be only in public area of the building. Connection was stable and sufficient for evening browsing. Parking is possible on the road in front of the building or in small backyard for 50 cents/day. We used this option but I would say that staying on the street would be ok as well - it was very quiet. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay in Heviz, especially famous thermal lake. We had good deal on this stay and paid hardly half of what we would pay in hotel of similar category. It was perfect for this time of the year, although it may be hot in the summer as there was no AC in the room. We would stay there again.
