It wasn't hard to choose the place, as I had seen positive reviews about it. The location is excellent (walking distance from Adamas port) and Poppi was a hostess to remember: calm, kind and always willing to help. We (a friend and I ) had booked one room on the ground floor, but as it didn't look so light as in the pics, we paid the difference and stayed in the apartment on the top floor - an excellent change! Sunlight, balcony, well equipped, daily clenaed. Comfortable bed and more than enough space for storing our luggage. Such a good place that I felt sorry to leave, but other great experiences were coming soon. No need to search, just pick this lovely place!

To begin with, i would like to clarify that i do not rate my stay, comparing it with large luxury hotels but with typical rental rooms in the Greek islands.
Having that in mind, we had a very pleasant experience in Veletas Rooms for the below mentioned reasons:
1. Our guest, Popi, put hospitality in another level, being always there providing us what we needed, both materials and advices.
2. The location of the room was as far away from the center as needed, giving you the ability to park your car easily but without having a long walk to the port.
3. Cleanliness/amenities (refrigerator/hair dryer/toaster etc) / value for money cost

Very Pleasant Experience

If this is cycladic style, I like it very much. We had nr. 4 at ground floor, kitchen is separated from bedroom, apartement is big enough, very good equipped. Mina and her aunt Popi picked up from/to airport (about 5km from hotel). Clean, quite, comfortable. Nobody disturbed us, although they clean room every day.
This is how I feel good service for good money.

Popi and her niece Mina are wonderful people. We had a big Apartment with a big kitchen, 2 balkonys. It was cleaned every day. Only 20m away is a very good Greek Taverna.

Perfect big Apartment

The hotel is not bad located, 10 minutes by center (restaurants, bus stop), 5 minutes by Supermarket. The owner was very kind, picked up us from/to port, helped with all informations we need. The room was not very large, but very nice decorated. Even the hotel is in a quiet area, if your room has the window on courtyard, the feeling is not so good : early in the morning and late-night, all the other people are walking, talking, eating (because the common kitchen is very close, and there are two tables outside) through your window. So, you have to keep it close, not only because of noise, but maybe you want to change your closes, or just to stay undressed in your room. With closed window, goodbye to the light, goodbye to the fresh-air ! INTIMACY - that's what was missed our room, we saw few other rooms, with backyard windows, maybe should have been a better choice one of them ! Sorry, I had to speak about these, otherwise there are many reasons to stay at this hotel.
About Milo : amazing island, don't miss the cruise around island (we chose Eleni's boat), visit Plaka (the capital), the famous beaches Sarakiniko, Papafragas, Pachena, Paleohori, visit Kimolos Island (there are good connections from Apollonia to the island, and good connections from Adamas to Apollonia by bus). Eat to "O Hamas", it worth to walk 20 min. to this lovely restaurant !
Unfortunately, even there are good bus-connection to beaches, the timetables are "horror" ! They leave at 11-11,30 (very late for "normal" people) and return at 16 or 18 - maybe they supposed that you go there, make a picture and leave ! Very "healthy" hours to stay on the beach, 11-16 !!! ... but, of course you can rent a car !

Good hotel, but ...hmmm!

Painful old innerspring mattress, unpleasant odor in the room, garden view is actually  in front of  parking, unprofessional management. The owner made rude remarks due to a request for recommendations of less crowded beaches, the information given by her wasn't accurate. The room was cleaned only  on the third  day after arrival
