Allotino is a traditional pension in the heart of Nafplion that made our short visit to Nafplio unforgettable. We booked 2 rooms which were very clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and warm and we felt the hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay and we definitely recommend this place.

ideally located and cosy

I had the chance to spend a beautiful morning in the cafeteria of Allotino that is in the hurt of Nafplio's old town. Very nice coffee being accompanied by the friendliest service ever and the most beautiful spot in the old town of Nafplio that gives you the true sense of this area. A great spot to just sit enjoy coffee, beverages, coctails and the people passing by.

Cafeteria

The hotel is in a traditional building a few minutes walk from the port and its free parking, only local cars are allowed in the Old Town. The rooms are all individually decorated, big, with a good sized bathroom (only a halfsize bath in the room I had), fridge, room service, good mattress and pillows. Enough hangers. My room was enormous, with some original features.

Downstairs is a cafe/bar which serves very good coffee. And an excellent breakfast. Enormous, I couldn't finish mine, but so well cooked and presented it was a shame.

The staff are lovely, it's the same people in the bar as the hotel. Smiling, friendly. 

There is a "but". I had room 13, which is right over the bar. Although I wore earplugs and had the windows and shutters closed, the noise kept me awake. We had been told the music stopped at 2, it did, but people stayed chatting for a while. So avoid rooms 12 and 13, my friend who slept at the back wasn't bothered at all.

I'll be back

We had to find shelter from hurricane Zorba with its continuing rain, so we went inside for a cup of coffee. What followed was very good coffee indeed, with appelpie, coffee again and good sandwiches for lunch, accompanied by a large glass of red wine. We sat here for a couple of hours, working on our smartphones, listening to great music and reading a book. Would absolutely reccommend, even when it's not raining ;)

Totally relaxed

The pension is in a traditional building, situated in the very center of the old town. The rooms are spacious with traditional furniture. Comfortable bathrooms, excellent airconditioning. But the best feature is the owners and staff, very helpful, polite and friendly. On the ground floor the pension houses an all day bar-cafe, serving a descent breakfast and also very nice for drinks in the afternoon. Overall an excellent choice for a weekend escape.

Great weekend destination

The pension is in a good location although all the hotels are really a good location as the town of Nafplio is small and all are close to the water etc.  Loved the town but the hotel experience was very bad.  I got robbed at this location.  I didn't discover until I left and emailed immediately only to find myself waiting weeks for the owner to respond.  Seems they are very willing to help you if you are booking with them but with something unpleasant she became rude to me and certainly unsympathetic to my loss.  I was not asking for my money back but wanted it known to them, the owner was exceptionally unpleasant and I will never stay here again and advise all my friends to pick another location
