I stayed here on my own.  The hotel is in a perfect location, on the beach and all the amenities are within walking distance. The family who run the hotel are incredibly kind and friendly. Their service and friendship to their guests is a pleasure to experience.

Me and my husband had an excellent vacation at this hotel which is located on the beach, has a very beautiful garden where you can relax. We had a room with sea view, very,very clean. The whole hotel looks very well,very clean and has all the requirements  you can need during the vacation. The persons who own the hotel are very friendly, we have been treated as friends and we really felt that they want us to have a great staying and come back again to this place. I can say that the hotel looks better in reality than on internet. We will come back for sure next year.

Excellent, great vacation

Nidri has not the best beach but that is irrelevant when you stay here. Perfect place by the beach, a small garden with excellent service. Good breakfast for Scandinavians😉. We loved our stay with Dina and Costas

The perfect hotel

My partner and I have just returned from the Palm Trees Hotel.  Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the family owners.  We had a new suite on the top floor which was very spacious and immaculately presented in lovely neutral colours.  Bed were extremely comfortable.  We enjoyed spending time on the huge balcony with 2 sets of sliding doors,  loungers, chairs and all approximately 50 feet from the beach.  There is lots of action on the sea from ferries to  speedboats and with a superb island/mountain backdrop.  Very peaceful land relaxing.  Ideal base to explore Lefkada.  We hired a quad bike for 2 days and explored the East coast.  Fantastic views from the interior of the island.  Definitely worth seeing.  Fun to wander along the harbour front at night and see all the yachts and ferries lit up.  We enjoyed the food/drinks at de Paris - super deserts and great service.

Total relaxation in a beautiful location

this hotel fronts directly onto the sea and is an oasis of calm in the very busy town of Nidri.  it has a beautiful garden, in which we breakfasted, delicious snack lunches and the opportunity to eat out in the evenings.  spotlessly clean and delightful people.

Just got back from a fabulous week at the Palm Trees Hotel. Fabulous location to experience the delights of Nidri situated directly on the shingle beach. Dina and sons really look after you and make you feel at home from the initial welcome through till they say their goodbyes on departure. Breakfast was typically Greek and provided sufficient choice, especially liked the feta donuts. Rooms have spacious balconies with sea view and modern bathrooms. Books provided in baskets around the hotel was a nice touch.

Fabulous Palm Trees

Wow! Read so many reviews about this place before booking it and they weren’t wrong. Thank you TripAdvisor. 

On arrival we were greeted by Dina and her two sons, Theo and Kostas. That personal touch was the hallmark of our two week stay. So many others have written that the family can’t do enough for you and it’s so true. 

The rooms were perfect for us. Spacious, comfortable beds, rainfall shower and an equally spacious balcony. With a view to die for. Right on the sea, looking out to the islands and mountains of mainland Greece watching the yachts and larger ferries come and go all day long. 

Breakfast was just as you would expect. Coffee, toast, fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, pastries, cheese, ham and eggs.  

We ate at the hotel every lunchtime with a traditional menu you would expect, but the best lunches were those cooked by grandma. 

Nidri town centre is busy but at the opposite end of the resort are more traditional and much quieter tavernas. 

We enjoyed our holiday very much, but we will remember it most for Dina and her wonderful family. 

The location, the rooms, the view but mainly the family make this place outstanding. 

I have been to family run hotels before but you wouldn't know it. This one really is though, you are made to feel almost one of a lovely family and nothing is too much trouble.
It's a no frills hotel but very comfortable and pleasant. Right on the beach but we used the garden all the time. It was very hot but several degrees cooler in the garden where we could enjoy the shade and the view.
Breakfast is basic but extras are provided at a small extra cost. 
We had a first floor room with sea view, lovely.
The main street is on the other side and the marina with great restaurants is a five minute walk away.
Guests seem to be mainly retired Brits, it's a bit like The Marigold Hotel.

This is an excellent, well kept,small hotel with a superb location. The breakfast patio opens onto the shady garden which fronts straight onto the beach.  As far as I am aware all the rooms have a sea view with balcony although some are a bit obstructed by the palm trees.  The first floor rooms have the terrace canopy beneath the balcony so in my view the second floor is better. The hotel and rooms seem to have been refurbished in recent years and are to a good standard for this class of hotel in Greece.  We had a 5ft double on the second floor.  Very clean and room serviced every day.  SImple continental style breakfast as is normal in this type of hotel with  the usual items and some fresh fruit.  I can't see why other reviewers would have criticised this. There are always cooked items available at extra cost.  Light meals and drinks are available during the day.  We were never asked for payment for the sun beds on the beach as one or two other reviewers have said.  Friendly owner. Cannot fault the hotel but the resort (Nidri) was very developed,  noisy and commercialised so would give a lower rating for this; plenty of places to eat though.  Fortunately the hotel is  a liitle way away from the centre, away from the road, and quite peaceful.

Excellent small Greek hotel

We have now visited the Palm Trees at least 6 times and have re-booked for 2010. This tells you all you need to know.

A typical family run Greek Hotel. Only 16 rooms, all sea facing. No pool but the Sea just 25m from the back door of the hotel.

Breakfast in the rear garden overlooking the sea. The hosts Nikos & Dina(brother and sister) together with Mama & Papa make all guests feel more than welcome, and treat everyone as extended family. This year we  even had the  the third generation , Anna, Theo & Kostas, home from school & University, helping around the hotel and making us feel welcome.

Nothing is too much trouble, and we cannot rate this hotel highly enough. 

We have been travelling to Greece every year for the last 30+ years, and this hotel and the Island of Lefkas and the town of Nidri "Tick all the boxes"

We travelled with SUNVIL,  and were very well looked after by their rep Julie, who has  been at the Palm Trees, even longer than we have been going. Well informed, friendly and very efficient.

All in all you cannot go wrong booking the Palm Trees through Sunvil.
