We have checked this accommodation via booking.com and we liked it very much.  We called directly the hotel so we can make the reservation directly. On the telephone a very rude lady lead to make the reservation via booking.com and that she was not able to make the reservation with them directly.  We entered booking.com again to book the rooms and the room rate was different and had a minimum stay restriction which was not applied previously.  That was very unprofessional from their end and very deceitful from their end.

Unprofessional and very deceitful

This was the second time we visited Tinos and stayed @ Big Blue. As per our first visit nearly 5 years ago, this boutique hotel met our expectations for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Its unique location, the spacious rooms, the relaxing pool area, the remarkable, unblocked view and last but not least, the incredible, homemade breakfast served by the hotel’s friendly and joyful staff, are the most important elements that made our stay unforgettable. Evi, the owner, is on top of things and always willing to support where feasible. The hotel location in Kionia is ideal for daily excursion to other beaches. This hotel is highly recommended both for couples and families.

A place to visit again and again…

A real positive surprise. Great building design, spacious rooms, great view, cozy breakfast place and atmosphere, great stuff (Evi and Georgia) willing to fulfill any of our needs. High standards of cleanliness , nice pool, variety at breakfast. Rational prices, a good recommendation to stay.

A Great Choice for Tinos

Visited Tinos island on 28/29 of September and we booked 1 night at the hotel which is a 3 minutes drive from the port . When we arrived, the breathtaking view amazed us. I remember sitting for some minutes and staring the endless blue of the Aegean Sea. Hotel personnel welcome us with a huge smile and guided us to the rooms which are amazing. Rooms where tidy , clean and cozy with lots of natural light. Breakfast was A LOT , freshly cooked and tasty. If you are not a breakfast person you will definitely be one here. DO NOT miss it.
One excellent choice for some days with peace and quite.

Amazing!

We stayed in a double room with sea view, which was clean and beautifully decorated in accordance to the island's architecture.
The breakfast included was generous with sufficient variety to choose from and was served until late in the morning.
The owners and the rest personnel were very friendly and polite and willing to assist and offer information about Tino's beaches, restaurants, traditional villages and cafes,and cultural sights worth visiting.

Pleasant stay-great hospitality

Excellent hotel to stay in Tinos. Very nice rooms, simply decorated and furnished but perfect for that holiday feeling. Really nice balcony and great views to the sea and sunset. Nice pool and sunbathing area, hot but there's ususlly a good wind so you can relax. Breakfast is out of this world, you need to take time and enjoy it. Owners and staff very friendly and always totally ready to help complimented by the attentive hotel dog Cleo.  Nicely situated, bit of a climb from the road but good exercise. You don't necessarily need a car/scooter as its 5 minutes walk to the nearby beach and local restaurants.  Tinos town is 20 minutes walk but good exercise before and after dinner.
We would definitely go back.

Dreaming of that breakfast 

I had promised to my self to visit Tinos a long time ago.  We found a few days and I insisted that we need to fulfill this promise. It has been more than a dream. The island is so beautiful not only for the eyes but for the heart and the soul of the explorer that sees more than the ones at first sight. Excellent marble details, respect to the nature, to the Tinian tradition in sculpture, to the Faculty of Marble Arts in Tinos. 

We loved Tinos far beyond the very few days we devoted to this trip. The people, the excellent and generous food, the yellow wild flowers in the camps and, of course, last but not least, the hotel we so luckily chose to stay. Big Blue is excellent. Vassilis and Evi, the young couple that runs the residence are not onle friendly, very much willing to provide the best advice and guidance for the island, but also very good in running an excellent accommodation, with high aesthetics and with anything we need to make our stay really comfortable and restful. The breakfast much better that the most careful home, to a big extent adjusted to each one's tastes and preferences. The view, what to say, all the Aegean in front of us. Absolutely tidy and as I love it. Quiet and calm. In a few words, I consider my self very lucky I found it and stayed there. Cleo (a muse name, the lovely female dog)   and Charoulis (happy, the male lonely cat) some of the best attractions of the hotel.

Our promise to visit Tinos

Big Blue is a great spot for couples visiting Tinos!

- We were warmly welcomed by Vasilhos and his family, our hosts for two nights.
- The rooms are actually small studios, with a kitchenette (which was totally useless in our case, as the breakfast served every morning is top-notch)! The rooms are very comfortable and clean - could not be much better!
- The hotel is well-located, 5’ away from the port by car/scooter, 25’ walking. The view from the rooms is beautiful!

We are looking forward to our next visit!



Short trip to Tinos

We have had a week at Big Blue and had a great time. The rooms are clean, crisp and well equipped - comfy bed, enough pillows and a decent shower. The pool area is lovely and we found we had it to ourselves most days. The views are amazing - very clear how the hotel got its name! And the breakfast...well definitely the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! Fresh orange juice, tea & coffee, Greek yoghurt with muesli, nuts and fruit, fresh bread with preserves, your choice of eggs, a daily changing savoury dish and sweet dish. Excellent service from the family team - even the cat made us feel at home/himself at home! 

The location is great - a short walk down the hill into Kionia where there’s a beach, mini market and several restaurants and a half hour walk into Tinos Town where there’s plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops etc and the port. Wouldn’t recommend walking back from the town at night as there is no pathway for a lot of the way but it’s easy to get a taxi back (6-7 euros).

We rented a car for three days so we could visit some of the traditional villages, beaches and restaurants as suggested to us when we arrived at the hotel - the island can get quite windy but they can advise which beaches are more sheltered etc.

A great hotel - would highly recommend, especially for couples!

Great hotel, great views, GREAT breakfasts!!

Wonderful place, clean and well equipped rooms. Fantastic view from the balcony , pretty garden , swimming pool , and the best breakfast ever! Fresh and delicious products. Vasilis and his wife so kind and always there to guide and help. We won’t forget Clio ! Such a cute and kind dog.
I strongly recommend the Big Blue, I will definitely come back!
