The place is beautifully located on top of the Vlachata hillside. Close to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and bakery’s. It is recommended that you rent a car or a scooter as the hike bake from the ocean is quite tough. Also, the island has so many places to visits that you would want a form of transportation in any case. The owner, Mr. Christos is a friendly soul and a vibrant character. He, welcomed us with drinks, drove us to a great restaurants the first night and help us to find a rental car.

We highly recommend this place.

A beautiful place on the Vlachatan hillside

Lovely studios, spacious and clean - if a little dated.  But made up for by the Fantastic views from the balconies and the communal terrace.  The walk down the (very) steep hill to the tavernas and shops is short but seems much, much longer climbing back up after a delicious meal and wine at Spiros Taverna.  Christos makes a point of looking after his guests - greeting them with a very welcome drink and information chat.  Recommended

Fantastic location

We spent a week in kefalonia and our stay in Summer Dream was absolutely relaxing. The view from our private balcony was amazing. The room was clean and the owner was kind and very helpful. 
Recommended for couples or friend that are looking for a quiet and a nice, clean place. 😊

Amazing view

I’ve been to a few Greek Islands and usually feel very comfortable. Unfortunately for this holiday I used Last Minute.com never again - horrendous communication which could have spoilt the holiday.
On arrival was met by Christos, my friend and I subsequently avoided contact as two women we felt a little uncomfortable. All we wanted to do was get into our apartment and have a sleep after an early flight but he wanted us to drink. The shuttle - think that was his clapped out car and was never informed of any other transport. 800 metres to the beach, maybe as the crow flies, its nearer 2.5 km down a quite steep road. Luckily we found the local transport.
Lovely little coffee bar on the top road just after the junction- great Freddo Capucino.

Basic but clean

What a place what a view and most of all what a fantastic host Christos was. From the moment we arrived Christos gave us the warmest of welcomes. He was so friendly helpful and nothing was too much. The apartment was spacious clean and was equipped with all that we needed. The view was breathtaking from our apartment. It also was a quiet and peaceful place to relax and unwind. Chistos was so helpful with information about places to go and where to eat. We spent many an evening with him having a drink and talking music. ( he is a great guitarist as well playing us some of his own music he wrote). The area was stunning with beautiful views and fantastic beaches. Had a truly wonderful experience there. Will definitely be returning just for the host let alone the place itself. Myself and my husband have made a new friend and was made to feel at home. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. And are already talking about our next holiday there. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

A real summer dream exceptional

We stayed the first week of August. Nice, calm, perfect view, confortable room with all amenities and nice common spaces. Christos, the owner is there to help if you need anything. The nearby beach of Lourdas is one of the best of the island. 
Highly recommended.

Great view!

Great hotel. Clean rooms clean pool area. Clean restaurant and great food. Wonderful helpful people. Love them alll. Quiet place great for a rest. But we go with 4 younger kids and they have a great time also. 

8th family holiday.

We visited this hotel on July,the room was clean and had perfect view ,
We stayed there just a night and worth it :)
We paid 65 € for a night for the three of us.
10 ' minutes away from the beach .
I can reccomend it enough !

Summer Dream is a very lovely place to stay & highly recommended, it is set on a hillside with fantastic views.
On arrival Christos, the owner, welcomed us very warmly, sitting us down and offering us a well needed drink. His hospitality is second to none. He is so knowledgable, from car hire to the best supermarkets, to offering you a lift to the beach.
The rooms are clean & spacious and equiped with everything you need.
On many occasions when got back to our apartment from an evening out we were greeted by Christos who asked us to join him for chat with other guests around his patio table, a very sociable time and a kind gesture.
It is quite hilly, but there is a bus to the beach and back that runs very freqently.
Restaurants are all within easy walking distance all are very nice, it’s just personal preference. Bar 360 is in the village of Vlachata, where you can sit on the balcony & enjoy a drink with fantastic views.
