Booked two nights here to enable us to catch our flight home.  Two bedroom apartment facing the busy road.  Air conditioning was €10 extra.  We were able to have a late checkout for €20 extra which was helpful as our flight was a late night departure.  Yes, the road is busy but we were not overly disturbed by it.  The traffic tended to pick up at around 6.30am.  
Kitchen is well equipped and the water is scaldingly hot so we were careful to run the cold tap first when mixing the shower.  
Apartment was clean and tidy.  
Owner was keen to press us to hire a car from her friend and for us to make a decision within the hour but we didn't want the car as the beach is directly behind the accommodation and exactly what we wanted for our final couple of days on holiday.  Huge sandy beach with facilities and great water.  You can swim to the islet of Kastri and take a look around.
Owner does not take cards despite her website stating she did.  There is a cash point about 300 metres down the road.  

On the main road but also right next to the beach

Apartment is simple, small but clean, close to the nice beaches of kefalos bay. The owner is nice and hospital. A good accomodation  for few days of holidays. 
A suggestion: take your pillows but bed are confortable. 

Like a traditional greek home

+Rooms are rather clean
+Dinner served by host was delicious

-2 bedrooms apartment it's in fact one bedroom and room with beds and kitchen. There is no common space. There is no table to eat meals.
-You can't close bathroom. There are sliding doors and they are giving zero privacy. You can hear everything what's going on in the toilet. Same thing between rooms.
-In "2 bedrooms apartment" you have to pay for A/C twice, because there are two air conditioners. It's 5 E for each room.
-Rooms are very close to main road, sleeping with windows closed can't guarantee that you will sleep well.

Choose something else if you want to enjoy Your time in Kefalos

- The hotel is too close to the main road (~2 m) so it's impossible to sleep because of the noise and mosquites. A/c costed 5€/d. (we had the room for 5 people and 2 a/c, so for us if costed 10€ (!)).
+ The owner was nice (she baked for us bread). The hotel had nice kitchen in the room.
+/- "The rules are the rules", said the owner when we asked her for a discount for a/c for 6h.

Hotel is too close to the main road

- noisy room - close to the main road room has no sound insulation, sleep quality terrible, because of big noise
  Terrible breakfast. Guests are expected better not to have breakfast. I mean it. Or try it if you dare.
  Room basic.
