This is a simple small hotel with the loveliest family running it.  Very bare bones single room I stayed in. They welcomed us and made us feel so at home in their downstairs bar. Clean and the breakfast was delicious. 

Speaking Italian made it very easy for me to spend each breakfast morning in hearty conversation with the owner about lots of stuff from the weather, to my country, to Venice, to modes of transport and lots of other things. The room was very spacious, even if I was alone (bigger than my recent stays in London and Copenhagen) with full amenities. While it was a bit further away from the centre of town, I enjoyed the daily half hour walks there and back - I chose not to use public transport out of my own will, as the bus stop is right around the corner. One can also pass via the nearby hill, especially if it snows :) Free bottled water daily and wifi was provided. Will definitely recommend!

Tübingen offers a wide range of guest rooms (B&B), which are not expensive but more suitable for students and low expectations and some hotels, that are expensive. This hotel is the perfect compromise. It is reasonably priced and has all a hotel needs. The rooms are small but comfy, WIfI works perfectly, breakfast is more than enough (and very personalized!). TV channels even feature channels in English. And although it is a little outside the center a bus stops literally in the front of the hotel and brings you to the city center in 14 minutes. All in all the perfect choice. Owners are really friendly, you almost feel part of the family and not in a hotel. 

Its a really good value for the money.  Nice location, ample parking, walking distance to some shops and restaurants.  Amenities are pretty minimal, but room was very clean and comfortable and spacious.  Owners did not speak English, but were very patient and friendly considering my subpar knowledge of German.  Did not have breakfast, so can't comment on that.  Would stay again.

I chose Hotel Venezia from Tripadvisor recommendations for a two night stay the other weekend, and was well satisfied with my choice. Our room was a good size with a separate seating area and a small balcony.  The bed was comfy, the bed linen was high quality, the reading lights were effective and the room was very clean. The bathroom was small but perfectly serviceable. Bottled water was offered and there was a generous-sized TV with a good choice of programmes. All in all, we felt that the accommodation was very well-equipped.

Breakfast, in a pleasant breakfast room on the first floor, was tasty, and my husband commented on the excellent quality of the coffee.  Bread, rolls, cereals, yoghurt, fruit,ham, cheese, jams, etc were all offered.  The owner is pleasant and helpful.  There is car parking behind and opposite the hotel, but for those without a car there is a bus stop just round the corner and buses into town every quarter of an hour (every half hour on Sunday).  

This is a traditional hotel offering excellent hospitality and excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to travellers.

Tubingen is a charming and interesting old town with a famous University, literary associations, and one of the most original old town centres in Germany.  There are lots of independent shops, an interesting town museum, and a museum of toys and vehicles for the 'boys who like toys'!

This small, friendly hotel enhanced our stay in beautiful Tubingen. The room was small but with all the usual amenities. The hotel is fresh and welcoming; it was recently renovated. There was a small balcony on our second floor room, making good views available. The breakfast was fine. Recommended as a suitable, convenient place to stay for any visitor. (As is common, no kettle etc in the room.)
