Villa Puppenhaus

Finding a vacation home that could accommodate our group of 18 people was not easy, especially when adding requirements such as a great location on the Bodensee, charming surrounding village, and cute building exterior and interior. What we found when we arrived at the Villa Puppenhaus were accommodations that far exceeded our expectations! You can see in any photo of the building that it is an adorable half-timbered home, and exposed beams and historical preservation were retained in the beautifully renovated interior as well. But what thrilled us as a group was that most of the apartments and suites in the house all open up to a spacious, lovely center lobby, or lounge, area with sofas, chairs, and a large dining table where we could gather our group outside our rooms to share a pizza or sip wine in the evenings. Since our group had booked just about every room in the house, I can speak to the comfort, cleanliness, and convenience of all of them. Beds are fluffy and comfortable, bathrooms are modern and upgraded, and kitchens include all conveniences. The two-bedroom Giardino apartment was large enough for our group to eat breakfast together every morning and party in at night, since this apartment is a bit more privately located than the others. Don’t think the Villa Puppenhaus is only for large gatherings though. I would come back here any time for a romantic weekend with just my husband or a family lakeside vacation. The Immenstaad swimming beach is one of the best beaches we saw on the lake, and the town itself is absolutely charming.
