Spent a weekend in the hotel in early September with my wife, who has stayed there previously.  The hotel is quite small (maybe 20 rooms), across the road from the river Elbe, very clean, comfortable with excellent high speed wifi.  We ate in the restaurant for the three nights, enjoyed the food and cold beer, and were thoroughly entertained watching all the activity on the river with different types of barges passing by every few minutes.  Staff were all very helpful and personable, and I had a very interesting conversation with the owner about the history and geography of the region.  We had some long walks along the river, all most enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend the hotel.  We will be back!

The Hotel Elbblick is a smaller hotel east of Hamburg located near the river Elbe.

What I liked

+ OK breakfast
+ Good dinner with friendly atmosphere
+ Good shower with nice water pressure

What I did not like
- beds are too small (had a room with two single beds)
- Light condition in the bathroom could be improved
- Rather basic furniture
- there is a busy street between the hotel and the river Elbe

Good hotel

Elbblick hotel is located in Geesthacht neer the Elbe River, we stay for one night on a business trip. we noted the hotel that we will arrive around midnight, a very nice person waiting for us, nice and clean room, the breakfast was good, very nice and recommended hotel

Nice and clean Hotel

Room 205 is beyond expectations. Very professional and representative staff. 
The smartest wifi I have ever seen. +28 Mbit. All hotels should copy this solution!
The location is good for our golf round on Winstongolf tomorrow. 
Dinner was excellent, even by French standards. The trout was perfectly cooked. And the schnitzel with champinjons was the best schnitzel my wife ever had. 


Neat and smart

Enjoyed a night in this fine hotel. 
Stayed in a fully refurbished room. On other hand b'fast room is a bit outdated, but the view on Elbe compensated. 
No late evening dinner or snacks available. Fridge in hallway provided cold drinks at reasonable prices.
