We stayed 2 nights in this charming guesthouse. The lake is close, easily accessible by bicycle or by walking. Ideal for hiking, getting away from technology (no wifi, hardly even phone signal). 
The staff was friendly, the room was clean. The shared toilets were no problem either.

Very nice place, great view, calm, charming

We spent there one night. Since we had a car, we didn't care so much about the location, which is not so far from Schluchsee. We were the only guests that night, so the shared bathroom was no problem at all. The room and toilet were clean. We loved the breakfast. We also had dinner there. Maybe a bit expensive but very nice and the living room is lovely. I recommend it if you don't have too high expectations!

feeling home

Stayed for one night since that was the only available place.
Rooms are relatively clean yet give bad atmosphere since the looks and feel is very old. Same for the toilets.
Breakfast was promised to be very good, it was terrible. We left it behind and went searching for a bakery to fill the disappointment with.
I guess this a cheap alternative when you get stuck in the area.
HO, the lobby area has a terrible smell.

You get what you pay for

We loved the location of this hotel; beautiful Black Forest region and middle of nowhere and away from tourist crowed.
But at the same time if you have a car then Feldberg, Freiburg and Titisee are short distance away. 
We always wanted to stay places like this and were very pleased with our choice.

Our triple room was in a separate building and the room was huge with a lovely veranda for sitting outside with smacks or drinks. The bathroom was nice too.

The bar and restaurant are located in the main building and serve excellent breakfast and dinner. They also have outdoor sitting arrangement in the garden. 

Recommend this place if you have a car and looking for a quite place in the Black forest region.
