Great location, literally in the heart of Toulouse, great helpful staff. But this place definitely needs renovation, the furniture is old and uncomfortable, the bathroom needs plumbing updates. My room had its own kitchen, but the appliances in it were not in the best condition. Mixed experience, but I wish this place success, it just needs a little work. the best thing about this hostel is the cat)

Good location

A little old fashioned and shabby, with basic rooms & no air conditioning. Stayed in a 4 person en suite dorm, with creaky wooden bunk beds. Plus side was that the room had its own kitchenette & a balcony! However the lack of aircon meant the balcony doors had to be kept open all day&night and since there was no mosquito net on the balcony, you end up getting covered in bites! The patio area out the  back allows for social eating & drinking but it backs onto a public park and you often hear groups of locals screaming and fighting with each other which made the whole thing seem unsafe. Toulouse itself is a little run down so maybe other hostels would be the same, but we wouldn’t be rushing back either way.

We left itchy & tired!

Just read a new review that warns agout the front rooms.  I stayed here twice, once in 4 bed back room and once in the front (on Thursday night).  I hadn't realised that people still sang in the street but there it was from about 12 to 4am - and despite my usual earplugs etc. I was awake  (& then one of the others in teh room left at 4.30 so ...)
but that's all part of the fun isn't it - its clean and the bedding is pristine.  The kitchens are in the rooms (so not to everyone's taste depending on whether (& what) your fellow guests are cooking).
Bit tricky getting in first time so make sure you arrive during one of their (very clearly identified) opening hours - once you're there its fine and very secure.
If you're walking the camino the owner is very keen but I didn't feel like many people there were on the walk.  If you're  not, then its really easy from train and airport (tho you may need to watch out for timing as the public transport tickets "last" an hour. 
Big supermarket on the main road near the bus stop/metro. Don't miss the japanese garden/canal in your rush to go into the centre.

Super place but watch out for front rooms!

First arrival was a bit unclear, we couldn't get in but luckily somebody came and helped. The staff was nice, gave us tips about what to do in the city. The rooms were good as well since it is just a hostel. The living room was good, many seats and there were good people. The only silly thing is that the staff wanted to send us to our rooms after midnight, which prevented people from talking to each other. That was not necessary. Check out went good as well. You can just drop your keys and go

Good times

Very organized hostel, with piano on the common area. Clean, tidy and receptionist are very welcoming. Good bed, very near to the city center maybe 10mins walk and 2 mins walk from the metro. Would like to stay there again.

Good hostel

The hostel is clean and centrally located. So the most basic requirements are met. The staff are also very friendly and make a good first impression. But I can't say I particularly enjoyed staying here.

The layout of the rooms is a little weird. The kitchenette is inside the room, which is awkward when guests want to make an early breakfast or late dinner while other guests are sleeping and I don't love the smell of food in my sleeping area. Luckily there is also a small kitchenette in the common area.

My room only had one ensuite bathroom between 6 people, which means I've had to wait to take a shower (but there are other toilets available).

And the room was extremely hot with no AC or fans. Our windows were kept open during the day to let some air in, but we didn't sleep with the window open because of the street noise outside. I found it hard to sleep in the stuffy heat.

Finally, this hostel is very unsocial. The staff (despite being friendly and helpful) were net at all involved with the guests, as I have come to expect from hostels. There are also very strict rules about noise so as not to bother the neigbours, although our street was quite lively and noisy during the weekend (with no contribution from the hostel). I found it hard to meet other travelers.

The hostel's saving grace is that it is very cute and quaint. I probably would have enjoyed staying here more if I had traveled with friends and not alone.

A roo over your head

I stayed here at the end of July when the temperature was between 32-39 degrees. The temperature in the room is unbearable; there is a fan but it doesn’t make a lot of difference. I slept with the door open the first night but ended up covered in mosquito bites. The staff are friendly and if it was cooler I wouldn’t have issues but if the temperature is above 30 degrees I would not recommend staying here.

Too hot to get a good night sleep

Having stayed in so many hostels now I struggle to find anything special about them these days and this one was no exception. Location was good, staff helpful and dorm rooms were comfortable. I was only there for one night and it would have been fine for a few more had I been in Toulouse longer.

Standard Hostel Experience

I stayed here for 4-5 nights in Toulouse and was very happy with my choice. I had a 4-person dorm. The beds were a bit creaky but clean, and there were extra blankets available in the room (which is good because it was cold). The kitchen in the room could have been a mixed blessing, but my roommates were very respectful; it was also great to be able to make your own food and avoid eating out every day.

Cute little hostel near city center

The best thing was 1 dollar breakfast as everyone needs something quick in the morning when travelling and cheap as well. So it a simple Bread Jam and Teas  breakfast. You can store the stuff after you check out for a day. The cleaning ladies are super nice. The actual staff has limited hours in office so they are not always available.
But the cleaning ladies helped me storing my bag and opened the locker room again.I wanted to take it out on odd hours like 1::30 pm (which is not odd, but the staff is not there).
They had no towels and no separate cover for the quilt and pillow, just one sheet for the bed and that really creeped me out and I showered twice in one day because I am paranoid about germs. Otherwise it is a good place.
