Avoid!!! Very rude ovner. Rooms very out of style, smell dump, unclean...shame as the place itself is lovely. The lady in reception shouldn't work in customer service...family stay over turn into nightmare....be careful, check the room before checking otherwise over will try to charge you for previous damage...
Rooms very small, definitely not for family holiday!!!

Avoid!!!!

This hotel looks lovely on the photos but in reality it was far from it. Our ground floor room overlooked the lake so I opened the window and leant out to get a better view. It was then I found out that the window sills and ledges had just been painted. I reckon they used good quality paint as it took me ages to scrub off.
My French is not good enough to suggest that a "wet paint" sign was a good idea and the receptionist spoke no English.
We decided to go for a swim but soon changed our minds once we saw the pool. It had cloudy water which was dirty and full of dead insects.
The entrance and bar area smells of sewage (my wife said not to use the word s**t!) Trouble is, this area is where they set up for breakfast. Speaking of which, I fancied the pancakes which I prefer warm so I managed to heat a few in the toaster and retrieve them with a pair of tongs (large toaster, tiny pancakes) I was halfway through the first one before I noticed that they had spots of green mould on the underside. The hotel didn't charge for one breakfast.
On the desk in our room was a customer survey form to fill out but I don't think they really wanted it completed as there was no pen. Just as well really.
The evening meal was very good although I am not sure why the French think it's ok to have dogs at the table.

Stay somewhere else

We stayed here on 1st of August. There was a heatwave so it was still warm at night and there was only a ventilator in the room... didnt sleep well.
The hotel has a nice pool for a quick swim and nice grounds overlooking the lake. There is a restaurant there as well. 
We opted for eating in the local town where there are several places to go to.
OK for overnight but not on warm nights. Should have airco in the rooms really.

A warm overnight stay

Found this place by chance,very close to the A71 , Rooms are very nice,clean and quiet. Decor is very interesting and different to other hotels. Food is good and well priced. Wonderful park with a lake 2 minutes walk away. The only criticism I have was the service during supper,but I think that they were a bit overwhelmed by a group of 14 that were not staying in the hotel.But the food was worth the wait.

Lovely Quiet Place

Stayed at this hotel as a stop over when travelling down to the south of France.Just off.. the motorway (a couple of km) ,so access is easy.The staff at the hotel are really helpful.

Positives
Good restaurant, the food is of a good standard and not expensive.
Small swimming pool with outside seating for the restaurant
Just a short walk to the lake. You can walk around it after the restaurant ,if you have the  courage.
The bathroom although small was well appointed with a really good shower (no bath)

Negatives
The room we had was  on the small side and had no air conditioning,luckily we had a room facing the car park so it was resonably cool, the rooms on the pool side get the sun in the afternoon.
The double bed was small , just enough for two adults
Breakfast choice somewhat limited, french style, no eggs and bacon....

Stopover whilst driving to the south of France

We booked this hotel again having stayed there 10 years ago! It's off the motorway but not too far and the staff give a warm welcome- we sat in the early evening sun with a great view of the lac and and a great glass of local red wine- rooms are adequate for overnight stay as is breakfast- we had dinner in the hotel and again no complaints 
Location probably means it's worth staying longer to visit local attractions and use the beautiful pool

Good overnight stay on way to Languedoc

This hotel was booked for me by a local business. I arrived from Paris for a meeting in the afternoon, checked in that evening about 6 which was quick. Since I just arrived from the US that morning I was really tired and wanted a meal and get some sleep, but dinner didn't open until 8 --- that's fine --- I happily had a beer or 2. Dinner was good, wine was great! And I was asleep by 9. 

Room was comfortable and had what was needed for a single night. 

Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and I was back on the road before 8. 



Nice stay

We stayed at the hotel on the 7th September on our way back from the South of France to Haslemere. This is the fifth time we have made an overnight stop here and look forward to it every year. The location is lovely, looking over parkland to the lake. On arrival, and having driven over 400 miles, we always have a dip in the pool which is very refreshing. A quick change and then on to an excellent dinner by the side of the pool - and under the stars! 

The room itself is perfect for the overnight stay, clean and fully equipped with all one would expect.

It is always a great pleasure to meet the Patron, Claude and his wife on each of the occasions we have visited. They are very hospitable and we share a common passion for classic cars! Likewise, all the staff are very efficient and friendly.

We look forward to next year's visit and perhaps seeing Claud's lovely classic MG!
