There is only one plus point to this 'Hotel', it's located is a real cute looking old fashioned country village .. almost everything you see is to do with wine.
However the hotel itself I can't recommend.. you first come into what looks more like a 'brown cafe'.. the 'receptionist' was on the phone with an obviously private call, looked up and just carried on for quite a long while with her chat.
She then took as to a quite small shabby room at the top of the hotel .. not up to any decent standard. (also unusable wifi)
At around 4.30-5.00 in the morning somewhere close in the hotel a very noisy 'haunting style' noisy door opens .. clonk clonk clonk someone walking.. 5 minutes later, clonk clonk clonk.. walks back.. 10 minutes later same process repeated .. this process repeated 5-6 times over the next hour.. you really HAVE to wonder what was going on.
We DO NOT recommend this hotel.
There was also no restaurant in the village .. we needed to go to Beaune for dinner. That's a real NICE looking country town and we will stay THERE next time we are passing through.
We can also REALLY recommend driving the Route des Grand Cru from Beaune to Dijon .. it's not many extra km's on your route but DEFINITELY worth the experience.

Wouldn't return

The Hotel du Pont is well located within Burgundy around the vineyards.
Even near the main road, it is quiet and clean.
The owners are very welcoming and accommodating.
The breakfast is from local products and very good. No need for lunch after...
We'll come back when in the area next time.

Nice and convenient

The Hotel du Pont in Pommard is a nice little Inn. The hotel has six or seven rooms. Our room was cosy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay.
