 - The hostess of this b&b is doesn't seem to like welcoming her guests. No warm welcome or not even one smile during our stay. No communication or whatsoever. Questions were just ignored, and she looked angry all the time. We had the feeling we were bothering her with our presence. One anecdote really shows this: when we were having breakfast in the garden her 'assistent' asked us how we wanted our eggs. So we said boiled please. He went into the kitchen to make the eggs and the hostess started complaining to him (screaming) that she only did fried eggs and that the guests were so annoying (actually she used another- very rude word in french - that I'm not going to repeat here) because they all wanted someting else. Since she was screaming so loud, we and other guests heard her all the way in the garden. Very akward situation. 
- The site is beautiful, but there really is à big lack of maintenance. Especially the pool really needs to be renovated. In our room there was a sewer stench because they had some trouble with the shower. 
- The price is way to high for a poorly maintained b&b like this, and the akward attitude of the hostess really makes this a place to avoid !


A place to avoid

I stayed for two nights. I had a very large and handsome room with a super slick bathroom. Unfortunately the pool was not yet open but it looked inviting. The welcome was somewhat casual, but when I needed help the owners were kind and helpful. WiFi was fine and sleep quality was good. Two minor complaints: while the furniture is tasteful it is rather sparse and not very practical. There are half steps entering the rooms and the bathroom. These are not well visible and may prove a trap for the unwary.

The price - quality ratio is very bad. 200 EUR for a room is absolutely exaggerated for this very basic mas. If you think that being "lost in the fields" will give you tranquility, forget about it. You will be eaten alive by mosquitoes and you will be waken up at 8am by lawn mowers. Internet connection is super bad. Only available in a small room downstairs in the main building. The owners claim the walls of the mas are too thick - nothing that can't be solved with a few extra routers here and there. Yes, even in the fields, people need to be connected to internet to be able to plan their visit, talk to family, etc. 

A special word of caution regarding "the Roulotte", which is a caravan converted into a room on wheels. Avoid it at all cost. You will feel like you are in a wooden coffin, very small windows that you can't open because the owners can't be bothered to put some nets on. You can't eat outside, because you will be eaten alive by mosquitos, since the owners had the "good idea" of placing the caravan next to a pond or marsh. So you hear the frogs all night long, while suffocating (literally) in the wooden coffin. There's air conditioner in the room, but you can't leave it on for long, since the air gets dry quickly.  You can't open the windows, otherwise you will be infested by bugs. How on earth can you even think of charging 200 EUR for that kind of sub-standard service is really beyond me. I think it should be more like 50. 

All in all, if you want to go for a farm / fields experience, look elsewhere. There are plenty of other mas in the area that offer better service and whose owners do not lie on the telephone ("yes, it's really very spacious "the Roulotte", yes, we have Internet). Very disappointed. 

Very disappointing 

We were there in a raining day, and everything was a little disappointed. The building seems to be abandoned. The house smell bad inside. Food was correct but the general feeling was to run away of this place.

I don't recommend this place.
