We were eating. Food was not So tasty, and we were really surprised that coffee was not included in the price. It is normally included in every restaurant in Finland, but not here😟 
This is our last time in This restaurant, I hope there is some better place nearby.

Disappointed

We stayed here two nights: One on the tent and the other one on the apartment without toilet, but wiht a lovely view (number 129). You have to carefully look your place for a tent, because the groud is quite bumpy. But we found a nice place. And the room was really nice and quite big and the view was nice. The bed wasn't excellent for two, but ok. The problem was it was almost two soft and we both pour into the center of the bed during the nigt. The are included toilets and showers and sauna for free! We also rent a privat electric sauna, which was nice and clean. Would visit here again. 

Apartment and tent

We were eating, the food was not So good, but not bad too. Quite expensive, and when normally in Finland you can get free coffee, when you eat, in This place you have to pay for the coffee. And the coffee tasted not So good at all. So maybe I eat somewhere else Next time.

Not So good but expensive

Location of this guesthouse is perfect for day hikes as the place is situated right at the bottom of the Saana fell. You can find the start of many hiking trails here. The rooms were in great condition and tidy.  Sauna separately for women and men was heated every night. The breakfast was excellent to start off your exploring days! Overall, I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Lovely stay near hiking trails

Kilpisjärven Retkeilykeskus (Kilpisjärvi Hiking Center) is the best location to discover Kilpisjärvi area: for hiking to Saana fjell or further and to discover either by boat or hiking the border post of Finland, Sweden & Norway. The center itself has been renovated some years ago, and it is both cozy and functional. Servivce was professional and friendly. The restaurant serves good basic meals for breakfast and lunch, and good bistro style a la carte for dinners. The center offer bed rooms. We stayed at 4 persons cabins (with kitchenette and private toilet & shower). The cabin was in fairly good condition and worked very well for 3 of us. You may bring your own linen or rent those with the cabin. The hut with open fireplace  next to cabins and Kilpisjärvi lake was conveniently available for free to us. Good price-value and strong recommendation.

Perfect location to discover Kilpisjärvi & Hetta

The room was clean and modern and exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was very good, and there was large variety - also all shared spaces were very nice! A slight minus from the room not having glasses, just coffee cups. The route to Saana from their backyard was very convenient.  Excellent views to the lake!

Overall, very good

Me and my boyfriend stayed for one night on our way from Helsinki to Norway (roadtrip).

There wasn't much choices and we thought this was the best option of all (we read previous reviews on tripadvisor). The staff was friendly and I loved the main building..it was cozy inside.

We had a room with two beds. The room was tiny but cozy. We had all we needed; hairdryer, beds, shower, toilet. The room was so small that we couldn't fit two open big suitcases...we had to have one open at a time (my advise: just take a small bag with the necessary things you need and leave the rest in your car).

We ate at their restaurant; reindeer sausage and potato salad with home made mustard. It was excellent!

We also had breakfast included, we got coupons and the next morning we got to go to the restaurant to a buffee.

All in all..good hotel for at least one night. Don't know about the cabins..but the hotel room was a good option for two persons. 



One night stop on road trip

Stayed for one night in our own tent. It was a lovely surprise that the sauna included in the price. We were really satisfied with our stay, for a budget traveler sleeping in a  tent I can recommend. And of course- the nature around and Saana is so beautiful.

Can recommend

We stayed 2 nights and were not disappointed. Staff very friendly and helpful, accommodation clean, tidy and warm, beds comfy and shower great. Food was really good - breakfast bacon worth a mention as was the vegan choices.  They even stocked a nice DOC Valpolicella wine. 

A range of activities on offer in  the area which has stunning surroundings. Had a 12% chance of seeing the Northern lights and were entertained for over an hour!

Fantastic stay - highly recommend 

This accomodation is nicely located right next to Saana. We took a hike on top. The rooms were ok, nice and clean, style from 60's. Beds were terrible. The breakfast was included and it was really nice and rich.
