Raquel´s Inn Bed And Breakfast

I loved my choice of Raquel's Inn.  The room was just as we requested, comfortable, clean and near the airport.  Martha scheduled the airport shuttle and handled everything (at 1 am).  We had extra time before our next flight, and I asked if there was a tour where we could see hummingbirds.  Martha planned us the perfect day trip to Bellavista Cloud Forrest Reserve.  We even had time to enjoy touring the chocolate factory in Mindo.  You have my highest recommendation.

We stayed a total of 4 nights here and had a great experience!  We initially planned to stay one night but needed to add a second night and they were super flexible about this.  Rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy.  (Perhaps they could use a bit more ventilation--a little stuffy, but that was minor).   Free wifi.  Common area/living room with lots of cushy seating and places to hang out, read.  Breakfast included but we generally did not eat the breakfast.  Service was great! Very personalized, friendly and accommodating, and responsive.  Our experience was very positive so we opted to return for two more nights on our way out of Ecuador, since the location is very close to the airport (about a 15-20 min drive) and we wanted to spends some more time exploring Tumbaco downtown.  The setting at the Inn is gorgeous, with fruit trees and flowers all around.  Tumbaco is outside of Quito and this place is pretty far out in Tumbaco, so it is not an urban setting and can seem a bit far out.  We did not mind that at all but if you are looking for nightlife, this location would not be for it.
