For what I paid and required, this was ideal. The room had a bed, TV, bathroom and towels so basic but travelling alone it was all I needed as a base. Breakfast was very good at the Best Western a 2-minute walk down the street. Train station is very close to the hotel. I went out for some morning runs up the coast out of town from the hotel.

It was the best hotel i've been...they serve a very sumptuous breakfast.their staff are all friendly.The area is almost close to everything.You could walk outside with shops all around..there' even a nearby bowling center and i
Hotel is just few minutes away from the ferry.
The only downside is the hotel doesn't have an elevator but the rooms are clean and comfy. 
The empire restaurant in the hotel served a very delicious steak

A lovely place

It was good ..it was worth it ..The only downside was if people next to your room are crazy and noisy then it’s annoying as you can hear them… probably the walls are really thin.

Otherwise great but the check-in is at another hotel 250m away, which would be good to know beforehand.

Nice place and value for money

Breakfast is great.  As there is no elevator,  it was a big challenge for me to carry 23KG luggage and room was arranged on 3rd floor.  Bed is too soft for me.  The view, nearby the shopping street and train/bus station are awesome.

Really clean and central but a lot of stairs so if you have any sort of mobility problems I wouldn’t recommend this place as there isn’t banisters on both sides, our room unfortunately leaked quite bad when it was raining. Breakfast is available, but it’s at another hotel and it costs extra. 
On the good points it is in a very good location and it was really clean, they don’t service your room though and the beds weren’t very comfortable

Good overall but not great

We deciced on a weekend in Frederikshavn and looked around for a cheap place to stay. We found this "bed and breakfast", which actually dont serve breakfast. This place belongs to the Best Western Herman Bang, which can be found a few blocks away. Its at that hotel where you check in and will be given a key to the "bed and breakfast". Thats also where breakfast is served. It should be mentioned as one of the best we ever had at a hotel! Anyway, the B&B is an old house with two floors of rooms. Its all very clean and tidy, basic furniture and not much more. Its a place to sleep before the next destination, which makes its perfectly ok!

Totally ok!

Hotel was in a good location.  Did look a bit tired and could have done with a bit of love and attention.  For my taste it was a little bit basic but served us very well.  Breakfast buffet was rather good down the road and hotel had parking!

Nice breakfast

We went with family of four to Herman Bang B&B for one night. Room was large enough and clean. The bathroom was really small and showering wet all the floor. The bathroom mirror was too high and there was no other mirror in the room. The mattresses were too soft for my taste. The room had a beautiful skylight. There was no curtain in the window. In the morning / evening the rooms did not get dark.

Downstairs there was both a living room and a game room with pool table and foosball. The lobby had a kettle but no cups. Under the bathroom faucet were too little room for kettle so we did not boil the water.

B&B had free wifi. It was slow, but worked ok. There was lot of stairs and no elevator. This B&B do not fit for wheelchair.

We arrived at 8pm. All the parking spaces in the backyard of the house were booked. We parked at the yard of the nearest bank.

Breakfast was served at a nearby hotel, which was a short walk away. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The waiter filled the table half an hour before the end of the breakfast.

We were happy with the accommodation.

Ok but not great, nothing to complain about

The Herman Bang B&B is looking somewhat worn out. There seems to be a makeover in the happening which could give it a lift. 
The beds in the room provided some good sleep but there was a lot of noise from the street. The bathroom was almost flooded after taking a shower.
