We enjoyed our stay in Valis Aurea. The room was spacious enough for three people, clean and modern.
It had an amazing sea view from our window and the owner kindly picked us up from the bus stop when we arrived and arranged a taxi for us as well.

The location was excellent as well, right on the main promenade parallel to the beach. 
The only downside was the noise at night time. If you want to have an early night, don't leave your windows open, because you will hear live music from the bars on the street at least until 12-1am.
Also the wifi signal wasn't too strong, but there was free wifi accessible on the beach and in other bars/restaurants, so it wasn't a major issue really.

I'd definitely recommend to stay in Valis when you are in Baska.

We have stayed in Baska at the end of August 2014 and we really loved it. 

It is a nice little seaside town with plenty of good value restaurants and beach bars.

The beach isn't too wide, but still it was possible to find space on the beach even if you woke up a bit late;]

Clean and comfy place with friendly staff right on the beach!

We spent 4 nights in Valis Aurea (Baška), in a room for 3. The view was beautiful, we see the sea from our window. Below the hostel is a restaurant, and beside it there are oder cafe's and shops. At night, from 8 pm there was some concert or party every night til midnight!!! It was very noise, we could not seep at all, because of the center location a lot of peaple was on the street. 
The small room was clean, the staff was friendly. We had breakfast, wich was very moderate.

Good location but very noisy

The room, the breakfast, the site, the free parking, the air-conditioning (we didn't need it) was perfect.
The life music on the beach from (8PM till midnight) was really good quality, but a little loud to fall asleep. ;)
