115 reviewsThis place was wonderful! The location was very nice, just a quick walk to a beautiful and secluded beach. This is the only area in Playa Samara where you can see the sunset go into the ocean in January. In Samara town, the sun sets behind the mountain. The area where the hotel is is so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of town. It is a nice 15/20 minute walk to Samara town along the beach if you do not have a car. This was our favorite place that we stayed in Costa Rica. The breakfast was wonderful with very good coffee. The morning breakfast experience is very nice. You eat outside in a lovely garden with beautiful classical music playing. It is very peaceful there with hammocks in a beautiful garden. This is simple home stay environment. Don’t expect a fancy hotel, but the rooms are large, with balconies and a place to hang your wet things. I also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed. The rooms are very clean. You do either need a car, or not mind walking to Samara town. We didn’t have a car and enjoyed the walk along the beach. The owner is nice and willing to help with with any questions or needs. We highly recommend it here. It is a great oasis away from the busyness of town.
