Datong Hotel

Hotel can be found by most taxi using gps. It is more or less hidden. The rooms are large and clean. Their family room can fit 4 easily. Breakfast is cheap and ok. There is a convenient store outside and a mini supermarket. There is also a halal restaurant across the street but it opens only at night. In the morning you can buy bread nearby if you do not want to eat in the breakfast buffet of the hotel. The staff cannot speak english but the standard give passport and 200rmb deposit and they will handle the rest. They had a blackout one night and since it was cold we did not mind to much, the hotel left a fruit platter in our room the next day as compensation for the blackout. It is just a little bit more expensive than other hotels I have stayed in tianjin which hotels are usually cheap but for the price increase it is definitely worth it.
