This accomodation is absolutely charming with the authentic feel of a tradition Tibetan manor house. It is situated near the old part of the city of Lhasa and the rooms are absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The young staff are very nice and helpful and there is a beautiful courtyard in the middle where one may dine or rest. This is the perfect place for any tourist and visitor who wants to really experience Tibet. It is much better than your typical western style hotel that lacks the character of Lhasa.

An absolute must for any traveler to Tibet. A charming, alluring and comfortable place to stay.

They have a very nice Courtyard, with very nice choice of food and drink. The trees in courtyard offer nice cosy atmosphere. All drinks we tried ( milkshake, Cappuccino or beer) have been good. Ok beer was not cold which is common in China but when you ask for they put a 2 the fridge.

Food was also nice (indian, salad with chicken and pizza) all tasty 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

After visiting the classic Jokhang Temple & Monastery, made a detour walking down the busy roads & side streets. Surprisingly, we stumbled across an amazingly "hidden" boutique hotel restaurant for our meals. We were greeted at the lush al 'fresco courtyard, and was ushered through a thick curtained door into a small traditional restaurant inside. The ambiance & service was just great. The food, absolutely scrumptious. The set-up is really traditional; there are sprinklings of some foreign influences, including the music (it was Thai pop ballads at that time)...and the manager was superb; absolutely generous with his warmth & smiles for customers. If only we had more time to be there...alas. Next trip, surely.

Great and comfortable place to stay in Lhasa! Good location with easy access to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street! All staffs are very helpful and friendly.Highly recommended to everyone coming to Lhasa..

Overall I enjoyed my stay here at Hangsuk and would stay here again when I'm in Lhasa.  The rooms were comfortable and the location is very convenient.  

This is a Tibetan style hotel in a historic building.  It is located in Old Lhasa Town, only a few minutes walk from Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple.  There are plenty of local Tibetan restaurants in the area.  It is also close to the main street, where there's a small corner market selling fresh fruit, water, drinks, and snacks.

The room was clean and spacious.  The bed, pillows, and comforter were comfortable.  Amenities included: slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, bar soap, sewing kit, shaving kit, lotion, comb, shower cap, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.  There's Wi-Fi and the internet connection was ok.

The main floor of the hotel has the courtyard, restaurant, and lobby.  The second and third floors are the guest rooms.  I had a room on the 3rd floor.  Since it's an old building there's elevator, but the staff was very helpful and help carry our luggage up to our rooms.

The bathroom has an open design (there's no door and is semi-open to the room) and the door to the shower and toilet are glass.  It was ok for me since I had the room to myself.  Just keep this in mind if you are sharing the room with family or friends.  

There are 2 options for breakfast:  British or American style with choice of black or sweet tea.  British breakfast: 2 slices of toast, 2 strips of bacon, 1 egg (sunny side up unless you specify otherwise), baked beans, and half a tomato.  American breakfast: 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, scrambled eggs, mushroom mashed potatoes.  Guests should tell the front desk their breakfast choices the day before and also approximately time you want it to be ready.  The quality of the breakfast is very average.  

If you want to try a Tibetan style breakfast there's a Tibetan restaurant located half a block away from the hotel.  After you exit the hotel main gate, walk straight and the restaurant is located on the right hand side.  It has a large glass window and you can see the Tibetan style seats inside.  The staff only speaks Tibetan, so you can just point to what you see on the table of  the other diners.  They serve sweet tea, black tea (slightly salted), Tibetan bread, and noodle soup for breakfast.
