Hanting Hotel

Let me first touch on the location and the convenience of travel from the hotel location. This hotel is located at 58 Zhongshan Road which is just 5 minute walking distance from the Guilin Railway Station. I came to Guilin from Nanning and the bullet train from Nanning alighted me at this Guilin Railway Station and I just took a 5 min walk across the road junction to this hotel. There is no need to take a cab. Another 5 min walk from the Railway Station is the Passenger Coach Terminal that run coaches to other cities outside Guilin. When I left Guilin for the rice terraced fields in Longsheng, I just need to board a public bus no. 88 at the bus stop in front of Guilin Railway Station that head towards Qintan Bus Station. I alighted from the 88 bus at the main road outside Qintan Bus station and transferred to another bus to Longsheng. When I departed Guilin for the Guilin airport, I just walked for 5 minutes to a bus stop along Shanghai Road from this hotel to take the public bus no. 6 or 100 to the Civil Aviation Tower where I paid RMB 20 for the bus to Guilin airport. The bus stop at the Civil Aviation Tower is just one bus stop away from my hotel. So, you can see the ideal location of this hotel to facilitate traveling in and out of Guilin. As for traveling to the attractions within Guilin city, there are also plenty of public buses near the railway station that head to the various attractions. You just need to look the signboard at the bus stop and search for the name of the attraction. I walked to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street and when I returned, I took bus no. 23 that head directly to my hotel. Next, I would like to touch on the excellent service. When I booked my double bed room via elong website, the price was RMB 129 - the special room type which entitled me to stay only at the 2nd floor (probably those with no window). However, the hotel for whatever reason decided to upgrade me to a standard room with window at the 4th floor when I check in. And on the last day when I returned from Longsheng, the hotel continued to let me stay at a standard room on the 5th floor. It was a marvelous great service from the hotel. The hotel counter staff were very courteous and the check-in procedure was quick and efficient. The room was spacious and the cleanliness of the toilet and the room were tip top. The TV programs also came in with multiple channels of entertainments. The air-con in the room is also new, efficient and well-maintained and it was a great help to induce a good rest when the weather was scorching hot in summer. The hotel also allowed us to leave our luggage with them while we stayed one night at Longsheng. There are also many eateries at the railway station and fruit stalls on both sides of the nearby Zhongshan South shopping alley. You can food and fruits at relatively cheap prices at this vicinity. There is also a local market just beside the hotel. We have no regret staying in this hotel and like to say a great thanks to the hotel for their excellent service and cleanliness.
