There were a number of things that were very poor at this hotel but overall they were trying very hard to get it right. When I checked in I receieved a welcome tea and hot towel and this was typical of the efforst the staff put in to make this hotel work. Location wise, it was very close to the sea so opportunities for walking were there. It is a bit out of the way of the city centre but we found a few very good restaurants locally. I had a seaview room which was nice and quiet. The hotel was reasonably clean, rooms, carpets and linen. Bed was hard (typical Chinese) Breakfast was a very big buffet with good coffee. On the downside, There was a mouldy/musty smell about the room. There was no free water supplied in the room. I went in October and the A/C was still in summer mode so even though it was cold in the room the A/C wouldnt heat.
