I was a bit apprehensive about staying here but was actually quite pleasantly surprised. It was clean and reasonably comfortable. There is no English at the front desk but I have enough Chinese to get through. There is also no wardrobe to hang clothes but there are some pegs on the wall. The breakfast is not great but it costs less than $3 so certainly adequate for the price. The location is great - a few blocks away from the action of Sanlitun. 
Overall, its not glamorous but really fine for the price.

The hotel is small, but in the area that I wanted.  There was always one English speaker on duty.  Rooms were small but the beds were good, and there was free filtered and boiled water
It is close to the US and Korean Embassies and just a five minute walk to the Linmaqiao subway station.  It is off the third ring road and close to other hotels, Hilton, Kampinski, cafes and shops. It is also close to a nice flower and fish market.
The only problem was a sewer type smell one day in the lobby near the elevator and also in the bathroom.  The same smell was also outside the hotel.  Could be a one time problem that cleared up
In all if you want to be in this area and want a clean, cheap place, this is it. I think that we were the only westerners there but the hotel was full.

It was good for the price

Good value if you want that location.

Not every room has heater. You gotta be kidding me. This is not stated on their website. I had a cold November night for 465 RMB. Not cheap either. No breakfast. They don't have a dinning hall at all.

Also do not use HRS. I booked the hotel through HRS and the hotel told me they don't have my information. They only accept reservation from ctrip, elong, and qunar. I had to book a room when I was there. I called HRS and they admitted that they failed to send my reservation to the hotel but they refuse to refund me since the deadline for cancelling is passed. Guess I will have to call credit card company.
