L'Intendant 

Small hotel. The suite ("apartment") that we booked was big and could sleep 6 (two bedrooms with a queen bed each, and a Murphy bed next to kitchen). Price was very good (around $130 plus tax). Full kitchen. Renovated bathroom with excellent shower. Heat, water pressure and wifi were good. Beds were good. It wasn't fancy but it was in good condition and clean. Huge TV! The breakfast was very good (croissant, crepe, pastry, fruit, yogurt....and homemade jam). No coffee maker in room so bring your own Keurig. Parking was right in back of building and very reasonable price. Yes, the owner has alot of "personality" but that's just a Quebec thing. We had no issues. The location is ten minutes walk from the heart of the Upper Old Town, and half of it is uphill. Plan accordingly! The Gare de Palais (historic train station) is just three minutes walk away and we enjoyed checking it out. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The only negative is that the street gets alot of bus traffic and we could hear it at night; we turned up our noisemaker volume and that helped.
