Brandy is a terrific host.  She is very accommodating and easy to talk to.  She made us feel welcome right away and seemed to go out of her way for guests. Her breakfasts were fantastic and the place was very clean.   It is a great location with easy access to Glacier, Yoho NP or downtown Golden. There is a nice mountain view; unfortunately, it was a bit obscured by wildfire smoke when we were there. The room was spacious with a queen bed, a full sized futon/sofa, and a desk/chair.  The bathroom was attached with a small shower and toilet. The sink was in the room.  There were two common areas open to guests with coffee and tea on the main dining area and a TV, refrigerator and microwave in the lounge available for guests to use. The bedrooms are on the top floor and as there is no AC, our room did get a bit warm when we were there in the summer.  The mattress was also very firm.

We can highly recommend this lodge, with its amazing view of the valley and mountains.  Brandy is a friendly host, knowledgable about the area,  and prepares delicious breakfasts.  Our room was clean and spacious.

Lovely Lodge with an Amazing View

We arrived and felt like we had struck gold. The Tschurtschenthaler Lodge is beautiful, away from the business of town, with a beautiful mountain view. Brandy, the host, is very friendly, fun and helpful, making us feel at home right away. I promise you, you will enjoy her breakfasts too!
Highly reccommend.

A Wonderful Place To Stay

This B&B property has many  individual touches and attention to every detail were outstanding. Brandy is a wonderful host and the location above the Columbia river is spectacular, while the freshly cooked breakfast is great. The rooms don't have A/C, although the fan was very effective. Note that the lodge is not signposted on the main road if arriving from the south and so you need to keep your eyes open for the sign to Almberg Road

Beautiful location and great host

Stayed for 2 nights in August 2020. Great location for checking out amazing hikes in nearby national parks.   This lodge is a real gem - as is clear from all the reviews! Brandy is a terrific host, breakfasts were delicious, rooms are super comfortable and clean, and the view is incredible. It’s definitely worth driving a few minutes south of Golden for such a friendly and memorable atmosphere.

What can we say? The location and views are fantastic.  The lodge is located close enough to town and all of the beauty’s of the region but far enough away for peace and tranquility and sunsets and star gazing.  The log house has more character than you have ever seen and must experience as words cannot describe the joy of all the fantastic finds as you gaze around the home and it’s property.  And the hostess, well now she is the BEST .  Thank you so much to this beautiful lady who loves what she does.  She cares about your well being and makes sure you are completely comfortable and have everything you need.  And all this while paying close attention to everyone’s safety and health during these challenging Covid times.  The house is spotless and is without question clean and managed well through this unprecedented situation.  Oh and did I mention the breakfast? By far the most fresh, tasty, scrumptious delightful meal ever!!! Thanks to our lovely hostess! We look forward to our next visit!

The best B&B experience ever!!! 

Brandy was an outstanding host. The rooms were very clean, uniquely decorated and equipped with all modern plugins. She made an extra effort to accommodate gluten free menu sensitivities with no advance notice. Her breakfasts were delicious and her warm interaction with her guests were a definite plus. We’re adding this B&B to our favorites and we expect to visit again. 

Overnight stay enroute to Jasper

This B&B in Golden is truly a golden find.   Beautiful mountain view location,  lovely building which fits right into the surrounding scenery.  Attention to detail is evident in every space.  The hostess, Brandy clearly loves hosting the guests.  She is welcoming and quickly shows you around explaining all the accessible areas.  Rooms with balconies provide a quiet place to enjoy the scenery and relax.  Common areas are inviting for relaxing or conversing with other guests.  Coffee, tea and wine available in the evenings as well as reading material.  Breakfast was tasty, and consideration was given to special needs.  A beautiful location inside and out, and you just may see some wildlife.  We had a wonderful stay and wish it could have been longer.  The no pet policy a big plus.  Off street parking too.  You will not be disappointed. Stairs to rooms and common areas.

Truly Golden

We spent just a few days there and I enjoyed it very much. Brandy is a kind host, her homemade breakfasts are delicious. We will never forget the chats with her! The view from the balcony was wonderful, the location is perfect: quiet and calm. We can offer this accomodatin for everybody.

A kind an excellent place

We stayed here on our second night in Canada. What an absolute find this is. Brandy is a perfect host. So welcoming and while showing us around it felt like the house was ours while we were staying - sit here,drink this, this is for you to use etc etc. The view from our balcony and the terrace was beautiful. (Kept thinking - are we really here!). The breakfasts were absolutely lovely, home cooked and always plentiful. Would definitely recommend and only wished we could have stayed longer (but there was far too much exploring of Canada  to do! thanks for looking after us Brandy 💕
