Auberge Chaumonot

I've lived all over the world, and this memory is one of my tops.  --My wife (is Quebecois) and I had our rehearsal dinner here.  The food was amazing, but the Maple cake was one of the best culinary memories I've ever had.  --The view is perfect and it's just such a warm and inviting inn especially in the Autumn.  --I will say it is a bit out of the way so keep that in mind.

Back when I was young, at my grand parents house, friendly, welcomed. A great place to be and chill. If you expect high tech, go further. I'll definotely recommand this place. Nice place and beautiful view

LOVE this place! It was like being back at my grandparents' home. The mattress was super comfortable, a lovely fan in the room creating white noise to help you sleep, and a wonderful veranda to sit and have your morning coffee while watching the boats, ships, and cruise ships on the river.  We were there for a friend's wedding. The attention to detail from the people there was wonderful! Tip: try Mario's sangria recipe, and practice singing some old Québécois songs with Manon! There aren't more friendly or welcoming people anywhere. 
If you are looking for constant wifi connection - and staying plugged in, skip this place and go to the city. If you are looking for a restful, peaceful, super clean Inn and to step back into time with fantastic food and people, then THIS is your place. 
Be sure to have breakfast here! They make your eggs to order, plenty of fruits, ham, bread, pastry, etc. My family loved their coffee (but decaf is instant). The assortment of tea available was impressive; typically at an Inn, you have a choice of Lipton or nothing, so this was nice. 
Finally - the artwork on the walls is just beautiful and local - in fact, my Mom, aunt and I each bought paintings! Now THAT is a lovely souvenir from the Auberge!

We had a wonderful experience at Auberge Chaumonot in the Saint Francois area of Ile d'Oleans.  The inn is right on the St. Lawrence River so you could watch all the river traffic go by, as well as the tide coming in and out.  There was no internet there so it was just time for R & R. The room was very large with our private bathroom.  We had a beautiful porch/deck to sit on and take in the views of the river.  It was very quiet and peaceful.  The breakfast was wonderful!  Full hot breakfast cooked for you, with lots of pastries, fruit and veggies to compliment.  Great place to stay and the price was right!

Wonderful!

I stayed one night. It was very clean but the decor was lacking, the tv had only 3 channels and the internet connection was minimal.  My bedroom was close to the river, it's the only good reason to stay there. Breakfast was ok...
