We’ve stayed here twice the past few summers and always a great experience. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, good value close to the Cavendish main strip. A nice home base for a Cavendish family getaway. We brought our dog as well and no issues. Will be back next year for sure!!

Cozy homey family spot

The staff is very helpful.   The location is great, close enough to Cavendish and far enough away from the touristy boardwalk.   Breakfast is good every day.   Breakfast room may be a little small for the number of people they had, but that's probably a very good sign for them.    The pool was nice.    One extra benefit is that they loan you a National Park pass during your stay so that you can go in and out of PEI National Park without paying every time.  Rooms are a little small.

Nice place to anchor on PEI

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely place! This is our 3rd trip to PEI (2nd in the last 2 years). This is our 4th place we have stayed and by far the best! The value for the price is phenomenal. The pool is huge and is heated! The grounds are pristine and beautiful. Pride of ownership is evident in every detail. The free continental breakfast has something for even the pickiest of eaters- even eggos and muffins. The rooms are spacious, the AC is cold and the staff- cannot say enough good things about how kind and helpful they are. The lady that checked us in (Kaitlynn) was the most welcoming and friendly person we have met upon check in. After traveling to 3 states and 4 provinces in the last year, we have not been met with this much kindness and genuineness ever. She gave us a detailed literary to travel up one of the coasts. Printed and all. There is a beautiful gazebo with a large BBQ to use. It was very clean (actually looked new every time we used it). It's a mere minute or 2 to the cavendish boardwalk and  sandspit. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this place. If you book here, you will not be disappointed! We definitely will be back for future travel to this beautiful island.

Great Place!

The bed was very comfortable.  Floor was filthy.  Bathroom could've done with some upgrades.  The taps and light fixture was corroded.  No table to eat at so having the barbecue wasn't going to work.  Breakfast was good and they were quick to replenish.  I wish I could remember her name when we checked in.  She was great!!

Great location in Cavendish

This is the 3rd year my husband and I have stayed here. This year we had some of our family travel with us, and we had a great time. We have never had an issue here, the owners/staff are very kind and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean,  the pool is very nice and the complimentary breakfast is good. We would have no problem recommending Bay Vista to anyone and will definitely stay there again.

Lovely owners, NEW owners. Very kind and accommodating. We had our dog with us. The motel has everything you need including brand new BBQs. There is a play area for kids,  a hut  for ice so you don’t disturb anyone. 
I’d recommend!! Heated outdoor pool.

Excellent location, NEW owners!!

Returning to PEI after many years to spend time with dome old friends.we were at the pool and we witnessed some other guests were attacked by the maintenance guy who shouted at the guests “ I can not clean the broken glass for you, I can not clean your mess”. Poor guest even constantly apologized   and the maintenance guy still lashing at him called him a….hole. (Never seen anything like this in hoteling industry that a staff insults the guests like this over a broken glass. Funnier than that they called the cop over the guest and to our witness the cop had no choice but to ask the guest to leave as the owner wanted the guess to apologize their maintenance guy if they wished to stay. The guest called the manager and asked to receive the refund but the manager declined to even refund their money back. I can not even imagine what I saw with my eyes. Will never come to this place.

Please stay away from this place, filthy, violating basic hygiene rules, extremely rude to their guests

Our first time in the area and we found this gem. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff/owners. Quaint and comfortable. They gave us a great recommendation for a stop along our drive and it was beautiful. If we’re ever in the area again we will stay with them.

Loved it!

We’ve always recommended this resort to friends wanting to visit cavendish. But we won’t now.  We’ve been coming here off and on for 30 years, since the years of Fiddles and Viddles…and loved being there but this year (didn’t visit last year because of Covid)  we were so disappointed.  The new owners are so nice and trying so hard to make the place work but…..our room was so damp and very musty, we stayed but got air fresheners to mask the smell.  The air conditioner was so noisy…the pool was cold and most of the decking was roped off with caution tape plus some of the deck on the house keeping units.  The pool gate was missing.  Grounds looked like they hadn’t been mowed for awhile.  I know the owners monitor this site and do hope they understand that maintaining the property is important.  I wish them the best.

Breaks my heart to do this review

We spent 3 nights at the Bay Vista in Cavendish ..the last of August . Our room had a King size bed which was very comfy . The room was nice & clean . Also a free breakfast is included . There is a nice sized pool on this property . This was our 2nd time staying here . When in PEI give this motel a try :-)
