As soon as I made my reservation on Booking, I received a message inquiring if I needed a free airport transfer. The driver was waiting with a sign with my name on. Even with your own transport, the establishment is very easy to find. There's a BICEC bank on the ground floor and a Total gas station right next-door. The entrance to the building is through a white gate on Avenue de la Liberté, where the building number (1600, not 1660) is clearly displayed. There are 3 ATM machines at the bank on the ground floor. There's a convenience store at the gas station next-door. There are several good restaurants within easy walking distance. Any time of day, it's easy to flag down a taxi. The location is excellent! Manhantan Living is not a hotel, but rather a collection of apartments in a residential building. There is no real reception, but security guards are on duty 24/7. The building has a modern elevator. My 7th floor room looked exactly as advertised. I had a comfy sofa, a desk and a small, empty fridge. The A/C unit kept the room nice & cool, while the water was nice & hot. The free WiFi was slow, but always worked. The room was simple, but ticked all the boxes and met all my requirements. Breakfast is included in the room rate. It's delivered to your room daily between 8-9 AM, and consists of a croissant, a pain au chocolat and a baguette. No butter! You also receive a bottle of juice and a pot of hot water to make your own coffee (Nescafe) and/or hot milk (Nido). Daily maid service is also included. Considering the competitive rates & great location, Manhantan Living is an excellent budget option in the heart of Akwa.
