Hotel Enseada Maracajaú

After the drive along the dunes from Natal it was a pleasure to see the beautiful Hotel Enseada Maracajau sign, the gate, and ample parking awaiting us. There are only 6 chalets each with a private patio facing the pool, all surrounded by a mature tropical garden. Before I forget, I have to mention that this is the best pool we encountered on our 3 week driving trip. Our chalet was a basic cottage with a comfortable bed with good quality pillows, an excellent shower, excellent a/c well functioning and quiet (one of the best on this trip). The bedding and towels were luxurious, and there was a blanket if the sheet wasn’t enough. We especially appreciated our front patio and spent quite a bit of time there enjoying the ambience and watching the few young children enjoying the pool. When I enquired if there was any Scotch Whiskey I could buy by the glass before dinner, minutes later Daniel arrived at my patio with 3 good choices and ice. The meals were delicious: in fact my husband said his sun dried meat risotto was the best he’d had. The breakfasts were so pleasant in the screened, covered, outside dining room with the 6 tables well spaced to exceed covid protocols that people lingered over their breakfast, conversations, and delicious European coffee. If you are looking for accommodation in this area, and one of these chalets are available, quickly grab it! Everyone we spoke with there has returned each year for their holiday.
