We stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it! It has a new name (Hostel De Praia Maragogi) and is in a perfect location across from the beach. Breakfast was amazing, the staff are super friendly and helpful, beds were comfy. Short walk to shops and restaurants. It’s a chilled out atmosphere and would recommend! Make sure to check out Kedi ice cream shop around the corner (amazing!)

Perfect Hostel Beachfront and Breakfast!

Difficult describe how magical was my staying at Brazuka hostel!!!
Hostel is very simple... But nothing compared to the vibe of the place! Stafano is an italian guy who own the place... He has a very good energie... Always inviting everyone to all his dayly tasks as: playing at the beach, drinking beers and party at the night! Awesome guy who became a lifetime friend!!! I've stayed just 2 nights but wished to stay much more!!! Also he has a partner called Facundo who is exactly like Stefano... Very friendly and funny! Location is perfect right in front of where boats goes to Galés!!! Travellers that I've met there was awesome as well!!! Grazie Stefano!!! Greeting from Rafael Krauss!

Perfect location... Owner vibe is the most!!!

We heard about Brazuka Maragogi after staying at Brazuka in Maceió, (which was awesome) and although it's only been up and running for a few weeks, it's currently the only hostel in Maragogi, so it's already miles ahead in terms of value (the cheapest pousadas are over R100 per night). The guy running it at the moment, Stefano, is the most helpful, friendly, accommodating host you could ask for. Nothing is too much trouble for him, and if he doesn't have an answer to your question, he will go out of his way to find one. The hostel itself is more like an apartment - two-storeys, in a very narrow building - so you have to be very comfortable sharing your space with others. The bathrooms are VERY small and there is very little privacy, but honestly, for what you pay, you're not going to get any better in Maragogi. You have all the necessities (kitchen, wifi, comfy beds etc..) and you simply cannot beat the location. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean right across the road, and enjoying the sea breeze as you share breakfast in the morning is just priceless. If you're not an uptight princess, I can definitely recommend Brazuka Maragogi. Thanks for having us Stefano! :)

Location + Staff = winner!

This place is less than average. The girl's dormitory is very narrow and has no space for the backpacks. The bathrooms are dirty and probably not cleaned every day. The owner is friendly but don't book the snorkellig trip to the natural swimmingpools with the hostel, because it's worth nothing (very crowded, dead corals, almost no fishes..)and probably more expensive than on the street!!! The staff is a bit confused and complicated with the administrations... Even tough, the hostel is in a perfect place, next to the beach.
