I spent two nights in a dorm and I don't think you can be better located than this. Literally at 5 min from the entrance of the falls, in complete nature. The swimming pool is so sweet after a day sweating in the crowd! Breakfast delicious and varied, the reception very helpful and nice (Brazilians, what else ?), just a perfect place to get to know foz do Iguaçu. Bus to the center are near and cheap so the distance is no excuse. A must! Thanks you all! 

Awesome location and very peaceful

I really reccomend. Amazing place, situated in a park, coati (animals) around you, some wild nature, everythink is clean. You can just forget about everything and relax. It will be nice adventure for you. 

Really nice

The property is on the edge of town making it super easy to catch the public bus to it from the airport and to get that same public bus to the falls within 20 mins (and so cheap to catch that bus!). The place is a little weird, like a indoor sports hall that has had little shipping container rooms made up around the edges. Dispite it's very open and slightly bizarre appearance, the rooms were super large and felt like hotel rooms, made up really nice with artwork and a trendy lounge area outside, the only thing really missing from that vibe was the private bathrooms (only shared bathrooms here but that was fine because they were all clean and well lit). You could use the aircon any time you wanted which is always a large plus for me in these hot areas. The bed unfortunately was rock solid so I had a bit of a sore back in the morning, but other than that super good rooms, can't complain.

The reason why the place didn't get a higher rating was in part the transfer I tried to book, and in part the breakfast. We emailed the hostel about 12 hours before our arrival asking if we could get a transfer from the airport to the hostel because we weren't sure how safe it was taxi/bus wise. At about midday at the Sao Paulo airport I got their reply. They said that it was possible, would cost 40 real and to just give them our flight number if we wanted to book it. I queried if that was the price for both of us, and if so that was great this was our flight number could we please book it. In the four hours we waited at the airport we got no reply. 3 hours after that we arrived from our flight at Iguazu to find no-one there to pick us up. They hadn't checked their email in 7 hours even though they knew someone might want a potential transport that night. That then required us to hastily log onto the wi-fi at the airport (and big pain with heaps of hoops to jump through to get access) to figure out we could take the bus to within 100m of their front door for about 3 real. We didn't find this info on their website but by digging through years old traveller posts on trip advisor. The breakfast was lackluster at best. Just bread with liquid jam and some off looking ham and cheese. The fruit was slightly slimy and covered with tiny fruit flies. If you're gluten intolerant, not the best meal ever.

Fine but lacking finesse

Location is great, if you just want to see the falls and do not mind to be outside of the city centre. The bus to the Brazilian side of the falls stops in front if the hostel and a big shopping mall is 200m away, but there are no supermarkets close by. You can walk to the Argentinian border and then take a bus to the Argentinian side of the falls from there.

The kitchen wasn't well equipped, so you couldn't really cook, other than microwave food or boil some water. The bathroom were basic but functional. The ladies' bathroom had big creepy bugs quite often and the bathrooms weren't cleaned or restocked with toilet paper during our 3 day stay. However, it was still quite clean, as there was barely anyone staying in the hostel.

We had a bit of a problem with checkout - we payed already when we checked in and they wanted to to pay again and we had to discuss for like 25min until they could finally find it in their system.... a bit annoying, but otherwise the staff was friendly.

It's a budget accommodation - you get what you pay for!
